The graphs below show the percentage of people holding full driving licences in Great Britain by age and sex.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Full car driving licence holders: by sex and age

The bar chart illustrates the proportion of people holding driving licences in great britain by their age and sex. It is quite evident that, in the year 2006 both the sexes male and female had the equal share in having the full car driving licence as compared in the year 1975/76 in the young age group.

It can be clearly observed from the bar graph that in the age category of 50-59 the percentage of male was the highest in holding the full car driving licence and was approximately of 85% in the year 2006. Secondly, the proportion of both the sexes male and female in holding full car driving licence was almost equal and was 62% in the year 2006 in the age group of 21-29. Thirdly, in the year 1975/76 the percentage of full car driving licence holded by the male was about 83% in the age category of 30-39 and it was almost 42% that was holded by the female gender. Lastly, the sex of male were dominating in all the age groups in holding the full car driving licences.
