Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response addresses the task only minimally and fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, coming in at only 124 words. While the candidate attempts to summarize the main trends, the coverage is very limited and contains inaccurate reporting of the data. For instance, the statement that the percentage of people aged 17 to 39 'increased significantly from 20% to 80%' misreads the multi-category age structure of the chart. The overview is extremely brief and lacks a clear, comprehensive summary of the primary differences between the genders and years.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organization with an introductory attempt and paragraph breaks, but there is no clear overall progression or logical structure. Cohesive devices are minimal, mechanical, and frequently misused, such as 'overall, it is pellucid that...' and 'in case of 2006'. Paragraphing is haphazard, and referencing between ideas is often unclear, meaning the relationships between data points for men and women across different years and age groups are difficult for the reader to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical range is limited and inadequate for a complete academic task. There are noticeable word choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as 'percentile' instead of 'percentage', 'individual who holding', and 'accouted rapidly surged'. Spelling and word formation errors, such as 'pellucid', 'sundden', and 'elder people' instead of 'older people', cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a basic control of vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The grammatical structures used are severely limited, consisting mostly of basic attempts at complex sentences that are consistently faulty. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tense usage, and agreement, such as 'individual who holding', 'female accounted the lowest proportion', and 'female contribution also similar'. Punctuation is also problematic, with incorrect spacing and missing capitalization at the start of sentences, resulting in frequent errors that cause difficulty for the reader.
