Student answer (Band 5.5)
I am strongly agree with the statement which demostrates that most students used to choose to study English based on self-study basis rather than attending a formal course. But teacher assistance cannot be denied.
A large proportion of students, choose this because they have an easy access to an internet and prefer to go for free courses provided by various websites according to your requirements in their own private space. Students of this modern era, prefer their comfort zone the most and choose whatever they want . Adopting this kind of behaviour of self-study ensures self-confidence and helps students to seek the value of time and its management by which they unlock new advancements which led them to succesful path. English is now common in every country such as in our homeland Pakistan also. Parents prefer to enrolled their students in english medium schools where they automatically nourished their english skills such as, speaking, listening, reading and writing skills by the dedicated environment of the school. From this purpose students than prefer to study english based on self-study. From my own experience, i used to study some digital courses during my summer break which i study independently but the point is that everytime I feel non-plussed and find myself lost I everytime used to text my teacher for assistance.
A major concern related to students from disadvantaged background which are unable to study in english medium private schools and don't have an access to materials or digital sources as other students have, so they need instructors to teach them. So the value of teacher cannot be denied as teachers are the pillars of country's foundation. Even though, the students how choose to study independently must need help from teachers to clear their ambigious concepts.
In Conclusion, as far as self-study is important which ensures self-confidence in students but teachers worth cannot be denied because they assist students at every step where they find themselves perpelexed in the best possible way. So, as I am with the concern of encouraging self-study by which students dive more in depth knowledge and boost a sense of responsibility in students. Besides all, the teacher worth cannot be denied either you study yourself.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a broadly relevant position: you support self-study while arguing that teacher assistance remains important. Your personal example of studying digital courses and contacting a teacher helps connect the discussion to experience. However, the response does not consistently answer the precise issue of whether learners struggle to manage their studies without a teacher. Much of the first body paragraph explains why students choose self-study, and the point about English-medium schools is difficult to connect to that argument. The disadvantaged-students paragraph raises a relevant concern but gives little explanation of how teachers help them manage learning. Develop the reasons more directly and make your degree of agreement clear throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly separate reasons for self-study from the value of teachers. This gives the reader some overall organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the discussion moves from internet access and comfort to confidence, Pakistan’s schools and personal experience without clearly showing how each point supports the main argument. Linking phrases such as “From this purpose” and “Besides all” do not establish clear relationships, while “So” is repeated. Some references, including “this kind of behaviour” and “they,” are not fully clear. Group related points, use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s purpose, and connect examples explicitly to your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of vocabulary relevant to education, including “disadvantaged background,” “self-confidence,” “digital courses” and “sense of responsibility.” These choices show an effort to express more than basic ideas. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “easy access to an internet,” “unlock new advancements,” “nourished their english skills” and “teacher worth.” Spelling and word-form errors such as “succesful,” “ambigious” and “perpelexed” also reduce control. Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than ambitious phrases whose meaning is unclear, and check spelling and capitalization carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because,” “where” and “even though,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in examples such as “I am strongly agree,” “students … choose this,” and “Parents prefer to enrolled.” Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “an easy access to an internet,” while the final sentence beginning “So, as I am with the concern” is difficult to parse. Commas are sometimes placed between a subject and its verb, as in “A large proportion of students, choose.” These recurring errors can make relationships between ideas unclear. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences and proofread each clause.
