Student answer (Band 6.0)
Numerous number of pupils prefer to study on their own rather then apply in a institute for getting help in their subject but without the guidance of professors, they might face difficulty in understanding the concepts of the course. I totally agree that students encounter hardships when they solely dependent on themselves.
Firstly, when you study by self you can not find mistakes you made and meanwhile students do not know how to improve the errors that they are repeatingly making during practice. Secondly, teachers had the experiences in the subject and they know the tips and tricks to completely comprehened the questions.
Futhermore, they have the ability to understand the diffiencies and weakness of every students that later on benefits the students to overcome those weakness. For instance, I find difficulty in coping with the sentence sturcture in English and the reason is this is not my mother tongue and then I hire a professional tutor that help me out in this situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 164 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the arguments remain underdeveloped and lack sufficient depth or illustrative examples. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the supporting points regarding error correction and teacher expertise are presented in a very brief manner. To improve, you must expand your arguments by providing more detailed explanations and perhaps a broader range of real-world examples to fully address the prompt's requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Furthermore' to signal the progression of ideas. However, the logical flow is somewhat mechanical, and the paragraphing is underdeveloped due to the short length of the response. The connection between sentences is generally clear, but the lack of depth makes the overall structure feel fragmented. To achieve a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph contains a clear topic sentence followed by well-developed supporting evidence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'Numerous number of pupils' (redundant), 'apply in a institute' (incorrect collocation), and 'diffiencies' (spelling error). You attempt to use some academic vocabulary, but these errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and refining your spelling. Expanding your range of synonyms and using more precise academic terminology will help you move into higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'study by self' (should be 'study by oneself'), 'teachers had the experiences' (tense inconsistency), and 'every students' (subject-verb agreement). While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your point, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. You should work on subject-verb agreement, correct tense usage, and prepositional phrases to improve the accuracy of your writing.
