IELTS Writing Task 2 question

A huge number of students choose to study English independently on a self- study basis rather than attend a formal course. However, without the assistance of a teacher, students often find it difficult to manage their studies.

Student answer (Band 7.0)

a large number of students opt for studying English on their own by doing self study instead of attending formal classes and taking it as a formal course. nevertheless, without taking help from an instructor, students often find it as a tough task to manage it on their own. this concern is particularly significant as nowadays, learning English has become a great skill, benefitting both individuals and society. in this essay, i completely agree that an instructor's guidance is greatly essential for learning English but taking instructions for small period of time and afterward studying by self would be the greater option.

teachers instructions are really important, as it provides roadmap for the complete learning process. it is evident from the fact that teachers are well experienced and know the process , how to learn and speak fluently from basics to advanced as they also had gone through this process. various studies have shown that students learning by themselves without any kind of instruction leads to failure. teachers can help analyzing our progress and identify our weaknesses in much better way. thus, instruction plays an important role in the overall journey.

many students can not afford high fees of well experienced instructors and institutions. many students can not give more time span in attending classes as they have strict daily routine to follow. in this case, there should be courses launched consisting of less time duration and flexible hours in a day, so students can easily attend classes . teachers should design courses in such a way that student become aware how to be fluent in studying English, notes should be provided. in this contemporary world, it is easy to learn something due to digital media, which contains free websites providing notes, practice questions , model papers which are greatly helpful for learning and many recorded videos of lecturers , which plays a vital role in reaching to the goal.

In conclusion, i completely agree about teachers role which they play to assist students but if we look towards busy routines and other financial challenges, teachers assistance in the most convenient way and social media platforms and websites assistance play an important role.
