IELTS Writing Task 2 question

A huge number of students choose to study English independently on a self- study basis rather than attend a formal course. However, without the assistance of a teacher, students often find it difficult to manage their studies.

In recent years, the majority of students prefer to learn English on their own by scheduling tasks instead of attending an academy and joining a formal course. I strongly agree with this perspective due to popularity of social media which allows people to study language as well as practise it in a real environment through websites.

One main reason to study independently is that now numerous courses available on YouTube for people free of charge which can be selected by tutors from one's homeland or from British tutors. The tutors in these courses provide material which is better to comprehend and apply compared with many academies. Moreover, the introduction of AI tools has made life easier for people because they can directly test their level and get suggestions that how to make improvement. Furthermore, this enables them to ask questions rapidly until they understood every concept and this is not possible in terms of a human teachers who more concern about their salary rather than teach them continuously.

Another major benefit of studying independently in this modern era is that different websites and applications have been developed which provide people an environment to directly practice their language with native speakers. For instance, Peer-up is an application introduced by Indians which allow people from Pakistan to practice their English by communicating with each other and it has significantly improved the speaking skills of people. In addition, different websites give the opportunity to people that they can practice their four modules including reading, writing, speaking, and listening without paying fees and can get feedback which most beneficial feature and do not make them depend on teachers.

In conclusion, it has become easier for people to study independently in this modern age due to full course videos which are available free of cost, AI tools, and other applications that provide real environment to practice their skills.

The opening list of keywords is unnecessary and disrupts the flow of the essay; it should be removed to ensure a more professional structure. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and there is a clear progression of ideas throughout the text.

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'comprehend', 'environment', and 'significantly'. There are some minor word-choice issues, such as 'tutors from one's homeland' (which is slightly unnatural) and 'more concern about their salary' (should be 'more concerned'). While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary, the range is somewhat limited. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and avoid repetitive phrasing when discussing the benefits of technology.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures.
