Student answer (Band 5.0)
most students have chosen to study the English language by them selfs instead of using help from daily courses. however, with no help from any English teacher they still sometimes find it difficult to focus on their studies. I believe that studying alone with no help is a bad choice a student can make because it can be a waste of time and also make them feel tired.
students can waste their time if they kept on studying alone.
this can give them head pain and feel stress and sometimes feel like they can't do this any more. for example if a student kept on studying for days to achieve some thing and realized that its had especially is they are beginners in learning English this would mentally make them weak and at the same time stop studying.
students can also feel tired and negative felling coming towards him. this is a bad thing for a student to go through
especially when they are still young this can effect their whole coming life. for instant is a student keeps on felling tired and sick that they have to go to the hospital this would really effect them mentally and phisically.
in conclusion, I disagree with students studying by them self as it can effect them and make them feel tired which will let them regret it and also it can make them feel tired mentally and pyisically and stop thing of what they have planed to do in their future life

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against self-study. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. The arguments focus almost exclusively on the negative physical and mental health consequences of studying alone, such as 'head pain' and 'feeling tired,' rather than exploring the academic or pedagogical challenges of self-study (e.g., lack of feedback, curriculum structure, or motivation). The ideas are under-developed, and the reasoning is somewhat simplistic. To reach a higher band, you need to provide more nuanced arguments that directly address the complexities of language learning without a teacher.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is weak. Cohesive devices are used in a very mechanical and repetitive way, such as the frequent use of 'this can' and 'also.' There is a lack of variety in linking words, and some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. For example, the jump from 'wasting time' to 'head pain' lacks a logical bridge. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs is disjointed, making the flow of the argument feel somewhat fragmented throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You frequently use basic words like 'bad,' 'tired,' and 'help.' There are several instances of incorrect word choice and spelling errors, such as 'felling' instead of 'feeling,' 'phisically' instead of 'physically,' and 'pyisically.' These errors are noticeable and occasionally make the text difficult to read. To improve, you should focus on learning more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring correct spelling of common words. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('if a student kept on studying... this would mentally make them weak'), incorrect pronoun usage ('coming towards him'), and punctuation errors. Complex sentence attempts are often faulty, leading to confusion. For instance, 'for instant is a student keeps on felling tired' contains multiple errors in a single clause. Frequent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction are present throughout the response, which significantly impacts the clarity of your writing.
