Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of teacher-led instruction. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention that teachers provide emotional support and clarity, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack specific, concrete examples. The mention of 'effective policies' and 'organizations' is too vague to support your argument effectively. To improve, focus on providing more detailed, real-world examples of how a teacher's guidance specifically overcomes learning obstacles that self-study cannot, such as personalized feedback on complex grammar or immediate clarification of nuanced concepts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with,' 'Furthermore,' and 'In conclusion' to transition between ideas. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. Some transitions feel mechanical, and the connection between the idea of 'teacher experience' and 'social development' is not clearly explained, making the progression of thought feel disjointed at times. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each sentence builds clearly on the previous one would enhance the coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is adequate for the task but remains quite basic. You rely on simple terms like 'happy,' 'joyful,' and 'good,' which limits the sophistication of your argument. There are also noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'west of the time' (waste of time) and 'difficult doubted' (difficulties or doubts). To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and collocations, such as 'facilitate learning,' 'pedagogical expertise,' or 'autonomous study,' while ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'teacher have,' 'student learn'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'it is consider benefit'). While the meaning is generally understandable, these persistent errors prevent the writing from reaching a higher level of accuracy. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound before attempting more complex, compound-complex sentences.
