Student answer (Band 5.0)
A large number of choose to studies only in English subject and they want to study only by their self than having many different subjects and having no any help from teacher students faces many troubles in their life during their education.
By analyzing this essay I am remain fully disagree with this idea. Now I am describe some advantages of self study and I think that if a man choose any tough subject and he want to learn it without his teacher and this is his wrong direction and he never achieve his goat according to this education. First of all having a teacher is a good opportunity for a student to explore his knowledge and learn more and also teachers helps the students in their exams and always tell them who they increase their performance in the examinations. For example a few year ago I was study in 9th class then I told my parents I can do my all education in home and I have no need to go to any institute and then my father gave me permission to learn my study in sitting home then I started learning on YouTube.
In the time of paper I thought now I am in healthy condition to do my exams and when result came I failed in the this class and my parents angry with me and also much ashamed in the front of my friends. After this experience I became sure without teacher a man never get a high level in his life and I always prefer my relatives to learn their education with any teacher and never thought about doing this task by self.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against self-study. However, the development of ideas is limited. The argument relies heavily on a single personal anecdote rather than a broader discussion of the educational implications of self-study versus formal instruction. While the position is consistent, the lack of depth in exploring the 'extent' of the agreement means the response remains at a basic level. To improve, you should provide more balanced arguments or explore the nuances of why self-study might be difficult for some but effective for others, rather than relying solely on a personal narrative.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and often mechanical. Transitions between sentences are frequently missing or awkward, such as 'In the time of paper' or 'After this experience'. The logical flow is somewhat disjointed, and the relationship between ideas is not always clearly signalled. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') to connect your arguments more fluidly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts the ability to convey complex ideas. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and non-standard collocations, such as 'healthy condition' to mean 'prepared', 'goat' instead of 'goal', and 'doing this task by self'. The range is insufficient to express nuanced opinions, and the errors occasionally make the meaning unclear. To improve, you should work on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to education and academic study, and pay closer attention to word forms and common collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'teachers helps'), tense consistency (e.g., 'I was study'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'I am remain fully disagree'). The essay relies almost exclusively on simple sentences, and attempts at more complex structures are often marred by errors. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas and run-on sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for subject-verb agreement errors.
