Student answer (Band 5.0)
Self study is great for the students to get motivated. A hug number of students choose to study English independently on a self-study basis rather than attend a formal course. Some students are facing difficult in manage their studies without the assistance of a teacher. I will analyse both the view before giving my own opinion on agree or disagree.
On the one hand, some huge number of students are independently study English on a self-basis rather than having a proper guidance. This will make children how to time manage their subjects. In addition, They can take help of internet or A.I which can help in finding their mistakes and correct them. It is good for the children who don't get distract easily from their phones, games, or social media.
On the other hand, But without proper guidance and take care students are often find it difficult to manage their studies, which make them lack in other subjects . Students who are under the assistance of teacher are doing great in english and can focuse on other subject as well as on their daily routine.
In my opinion, study independently is good but not in the assistance of a teacher can face problems in managing their studies, which can down their preformense in other subjects. I would disagree with self - study, because it makes students more lenient and can get easily distract but in the guidance of their teacher they can manage their every subject and good guidances .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both independent study and teacher-led instruction. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the mention of 'internet or A.I' is a relevant point, but it is not expanded upon to explain how these tools effectively replace a teacher. The position is clear, but the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. The essay tends to over-generalize, such as claiming that self-study makes students 'lenient' without providing specific evidence or logical reasoning. To improve, you should provide concrete examples or a more detailed explanation of why teacher guidance is superior, rather than simply stating it is better.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. While you use basic cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'In addition', the internal logic within paragraphs is weak. For instance, the transition between the benefits of self-study and the drawbacks is abrupt. Additionally, some sentences are confusing, such as 'study independently is good but not in the assistance of a teacher can face problems', which makes the relationship between ideas difficult to follow. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each sentence flows logically from the previous one will enhance coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic phrases like 'huge number of students' and 'manage their studies'. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'facing difficult in manage' (should be 'difficulty in managing') and 'down their preformense' (should be 'lower their performance'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas clearly. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and collocations, such as 'autonomous learning', 'academic performance', or 'structured curriculum', rather than relying on simple, often misused, phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement and verb forms, such as 'students are often find it difficult' (should be 'students often find') and 'make children how to time manage' (should be 'teach children how to manage their time'). Sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces around hyphens and commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs are correctly conjugated and that complex sentences are structured accurately.
