Student answer (Band 5.5)

Individuals argue that numerous educator more engage the english learning by autonomous learning rather than attending physical classes. while, other argue without guidence of a professor which leads to the increase hardness level during their studies. I largely disagree with this view because self directed learning is affortable and convient for the students.

On the one hand, self learning is a convenient option for many people. This is because learners can study at their own place and according to their schedule, without beging restricted by fixed classroom hours. online resources allow them to practise whenever and wherever they want. For example, a student who has a full-time job can cause language-learning apps, Youtube lessons and online courses to practise english for an hours in the evening rather than attending a traditional class. As a result, self-directed learning can make english education more flexible and accessible.

In additon, online e-learning provide a AI tools which help to practise accuretly with related to grammer topices and spellings . For instance, Duolingo AI tool provide a new vocabulary with grammer in perfect manner.

However, there are potential drawbacks. Some students faces challeging due to lack of teacher guidence because tutor give instance and face to face feedback which produce more immediate and widespread benefits.

In conclusion, although there are some riskes involved, I disagree to a large extent that independent learner is a flexible and accessible with using certain AI tools which help to study with grammer and vocabulary in easiest way in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that self-study is overly difficult. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention flexibility and AI tools, the arguments are brief and lack depth. For instance, the point about AI tools is mentioned but not fully explained in terms of how it replaces a teacher's role. To improve, ensure each body paragraph fully explores the 'why' and 'how' of your arguments with more detailed examples. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the main points presented in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand', 'In addition', and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in the argument. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition in the final paragraph. Additionally, some sentences are disjointed, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, which affects the flow. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the relationship between sentences is more fluid and natural.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and spelling that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'affortable', 'convient', 'accuretly', and 'grammer'. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'autonomous learning' and 'flexible', but the range is limited. There is also some repetition of basic terms. To improve, focus on mastering the spelling of common academic words and try to incorporate more precise collocations. For example, instead of 'increase hardness level', use 'poses greater challenges'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'online e-learning provide', 'tutor give instance'), incorrect word forms (e.g., 'independent learner' instead of 'independent learning'), and awkward phrasing. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors means that the grammar is not consistently accurate. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and proofreading for basic sentence structure errors.
