Student answer (Band 5.0)

Many people or student thing that the can self study

at home or class and manege there studies without any problems on the other hand people think that teacher is important to learn English but i prefer to learn English with the teacher while they help you in speak or learning English and disagree with that

First thing is if you learn English independently you make many mistake like verb ,noun etc. on the other hand teacher teach you English they give material for learn or speak and you practice and they teach verb, noun then the teach more important thinks that you never see or hear if you learn Independently you can not learn that thing or letters which the teacher teach you

Second thing is that if you learn English on your self then you face many problem like you did not know the meaning of any word in your language then your self study is gone on the wrong way but if you go some were to teach your self that great they teach you many word and there meaning and teacher give there all knowledge to there student

On the other hand the self study is also good like people know the reality of people and tell you which is your best friend but in self study you did not have to support of love once but if teacher teach a Lesson the your love once is ask you question about today lesson or what the teacher tell you

At the End both things are perfect at there won place but the if you see you know the self study is great but teacher who teach you is more wealth then self study

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a position in favor of teacher-led instruction. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While you mention that teachers provide materials and correct mistakes, these points are not fully extended or supported with specific examples. The argument regarding self-study is somewhat confused, particularly in the fourth paragraph where the relevance to the prompt is unclear. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed argument that directly supports your thesis, and avoid vague statements like 'many problems' without explaining what those problems are.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression of ideas is frequently interrupted by unclear phrasing and a lack of effective cohesive devices. Transitions such as 'First thing is' and 'Second thing is' are very basic and mechanical. Furthermore, the referencing is often confusing; for example, in the fourth paragraph, the connection between 'self-study' and 'love ones' is difficult to follow. To reach a higher band, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that each sentence flows naturally from the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, relying on basic words like 'thing', 'learn', and 'teach'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'manege there studies' (manage their studies) and 'more wealth' (more valuable). Some phrases are difficult to interpret due to incorrect word usage, such as 'self study is gone on the wrong way'. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to education and language acquisition, and practice using synonyms to avoid repeating the same words throughout the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure (e.g., 'Many people or student thing that the can self study'). Punctuation is also problematic, with missing commas and run-on sentences that make the text difficult to read. The range of structures is limited to simple sentences, with very few attempts at complex grammatical forms. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that sentences are clearly demarcated with appropriate punctuation.
