Student answer (Band 5.0)
ENGLISH IS AN INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE WHICH HELPS IN THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION AND STUDIES . HOWEVER SOME STUDENTS WANT TO PURSUIE THEIR CARRERS IN BS ENGLISH AND OTHER HIGHER STUDIES IN ENGLISH . SOME STUDENTS WANT TO CONTINUE THEIR STUDIES IN ENGLISH BECAUSE THEY WANT JOIN THEIR FAMILY BUSINESS AND TO INTERACT WITH THE INTERNATIONAL PEOPLES.
STUDENTS CHOOSE THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE ON THEIR BEHALF BECAUSE THEIR PARENTS ARE NOT AWARE OF THE MODERN TRENDS AND ABOUT THE SITUATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET. SOME PARENTS DON'T KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND IT'S INTERNATIONAL RECOGNIZATION THAT IS THE REASON STUDENTS SELECT THEIR COURSE ON THEIR BEHALF
SOME STUDENTS ENROLL IN ENGLISH PROGRAM WITHOUT ANY SOLID REASON . THESE ARE THE TYPE OF STUDENTS WHICH REPENT ON THEIR DECESION AND AFTER WASTING TIME THEY THEN ENROLL THEMSELVES IN THE OTHER COURSE WHICH IS RELEVANT TO THEIR PREVIOUS STUDIES .
SOME STUDENTS HAVE STRONG DECISION POWER SO THEY REMAIN STEADFAST ON THEIR COURSE OF ENGLISH WHICH THEY SELECT .
ON THE OTHERHAND SOME STUDENTS HAVE NO ABILITY OF DECISION SO THE ONE THING THEY HAVE TO DO IS TO CONSULT WITH THEIR PARENTS . IF THEIR PARENTS ARE NOR AWARE OF MARKET TRENDS THEY HAVE TO CONSULT WITH THEIR TEACHERS .
THEIR TEACHERS GAVE THEM RIGHT ADVICE AFTER CONCERNING TO THEIR INTERESTS AND FUTURE . I AGREE WITH THE STUDENTS WHO CHOOSE THEIR STUDY PROGRAMS ACCORDING THEIR INTEREST BECAUSE EVERY STUDENT HAVE A RIGHT TO CHOOSE THE PROGRAM OF THEIR INTEREST . FIRST STUDENT CONSULT WITH TEACHER AND THEN ENROLL IN PROGRAM WHICH HE IS INTERESTED.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to address the specific prompt regarding the challenges of self-study versus formal instruction. Instead, the essay focuses on why students choose English courses and the role of parental advice. The prompt asks for an opinion on whether students find it difficult to manage studies without a teacher, but the essay does not engage with this core issue. The ideas presented are largely irrelevant to the task instructions, leading to a lack of focus and development. To improve, you must carefully analyze the prompt and ensure every paragraph directly answers the specific question asked.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into short, disjointed paragraphs. While there is a basic attempt to structure the response, the logical progression is weak because the ideas do not follow a clear argument related to the prompt. Cohesive devices are used in a very mechanical and repetitive way, such as starting multiple paragraphs with 'SOME STUDENTS'. There is a lack of effective linking between sentences, making the flow of ideas feel fragmented. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of transition words and ensuring that each paragraph develops a single, clear point that supports your overall position.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'students', 'course', and 'studies'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'international peoples' instead of 'people from other countries' and 'recognization' instead of 'recognition'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas or demonstrate precision. To improve, try to learn collocations and synonyms for common words, and focus on using more academic vocabulary appropriate for an IELTS essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every student have a right'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple, and there is a lack of complex structures. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary capitalization used throughout the text. These errors are frequent and occasionally make the meaning difficult to follow. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and proofreading your work to correct simple errors before finalizing your response.
