Student answer (Band 5.5)

Multitude students rely on self study insisted of enrolling them in physical and e-course although without any facility its hard to tackle . form my perspective depending on their self is not as difficult as it seems.

firstly, in today's world it is very easy to get detail information about anything online on the website sites like you tube, google. for example i prepared myself foe an exam in university and score good marks . Moreover, after watching videos and reading articles online students can attempt quiz to check their understandings which makes students to rely on their own.

secondly, everything is just a click even and students do not have to travel to show presences in a class and sit there for a certain time on the other hand at home student can sit on their study table any time and learn. to add more all the courses available online are free of cost or economically friendly rather the physical classes where you have to pay an instructor and also tries to manage travel cost which makes them choose online study.

instead to these some times an asistance also plays an important role that if helps to remain in focus and provide a guideline to keep in track also some quries are not resolve by online videos for that assistance is important

overall, learning by their selves is far more convenient the attending a formal course to some extent i agree with depending on their selves rather than a assistance

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the benefits of self-study versus formal instruction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention online resources and convenience, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. The conclusion is slightly contradictory, as you state you agree with self-study but then acknowledge the importance of assistance, making your overall position a bit unclear. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and fully explains the 'why' and 'how' behind your arguments, rather than just listing points. The response is balanced but needs more rigorous support to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'instead to these' and 'to add more'. The flow between sentences is sometimes disjointed, making the progression of ideas feel a bit repetitive. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between the benefits of self-study and the counter-argument regarding teacher assistance is abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'nevertheless') and ensure that each paragraph transitions logically to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'multitude students' instead of 'a multitude of students', 'insisted of' instead of 'instead of', and 'economically friendly' instead of 'cost-effective'. Some words are used incorrectly, such as 'facility' when you likely meant 'guidance'. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more academic vocabulary. Avoid repeating simple words and try to incorporate more precise terminology related to education.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'some quries are not resolve'), incorrect sentence structure, and punctuation errors. There is a limited range of complex structures, and the attempts at them are often faulty, such as 'the attending a formal course to some extent i agree'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent a higher score. Focus on mastering basic sentence patterns, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex structures.
