IELTS Writing Task 2 question

A huge number of students choose to study English independently on a self- study basis rather than attend a formal course. However, without the assistance of a teacher, students often find it difficult to manage their studies.

To what extent do you agree or disagree ?

Student answer (Band 5.5)

Numerous students choose study english their self without any tutor or any help. But without teacher assisstance, it is seen to be that students often face a difficulty in managing their studies.

Many students want to learn english independently than attending regular classes. It is quit beneficial for students with sharp and clever minds or the students who studied their courses in english medium system. It also be helpful reducing the cost spending on attending a formal course fee or to pay tutor for guidance. But, in my opinion, we should to take regular classes or getting guidance from a teacher. As, we can questions them for any of our query.

But often students find it difficult to manage their studies without any assistance of tutor. For instance, when I have started learning IELTS exam, it is more difficult to understand for me how can I learn the english as my education is not fully english based. So it is difficult for me to start learning and I paid for learning english of a full course of 6 weeks. It is much helpful to study and making my base to learn. It is also difficult for students who have job and want to study to improve their english. So helping from teacher for studying english is beneficial as they give a proper pattern for study and also arrange classes for testing the students progress.

In conclusion, Studying english with an assistance is more beneficial for students who cannot manage their studies for any reasons. But, many students with sharp minds choose to study english independently without any help or attending any course.
