Student answer (Band 5.5)
Most students choose to study English independently on a self-study basis rather than attending a formal classes. However, people believe that without assistance of a teacher, students often find it difficult to manage their studies. I largely agree with second view that without attending lectures from a teacher, student will find it difficult to study.
On the one hand, Some students prefer to study English on their own without the assistance of any teacher or attending any classes. This is because they are familiar with that course or they are studying independently. Altough there's a big advantage of studying independently such as students who study's without being dependent on any person. They will be good in studies or mantally independent. Moreover, study indepedent have some cons. For example, if a student does not have any study materials or resources about that particular subject like english. Without resource student cannot prepare well to pass the test or be good at study.
On the other hand, people prefer to students that they should take classes from institute to study English. In institute, teachers teach their students in a structured way. For example, students have to follow a routine in institution like, in a first week they will learn about introuction and structure of subject. Moreover, institute will provide resources and study materials about subject. In addition, students have to follow a proper routine to attend classes which help to manage their study with other activities.
In conclusion, altought studying independently have some advantage like brainstorming or did'nt rely on any person. I believe that learning from institute is best for students. Beacuse they will provided resources and helping material.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt directly by discussing both sides of the argument and clearly stating a personal position in the introduction, agreeing largely with the view that independent study is difficult without a teacher. The ideas are generally relevant, but some points lack full extension or clarity, such as the underdeveloped argument about mental independence versus resource availability. The conclusion reiterates the main stance effectively. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, fitting the criteria for Band 6.0, as some ideas are under-developed or somewhat repetitive.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response has a clear overall progression and is structured into standard paragraphs, including an introduction, body paragraphs for opposing views, and a conclusion. Transitional markers such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' are employed to guide the reader. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or faulty, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'second view that without attending lectures from a teacher, student will find it difficult to study'. Paragraphing is used, but internal cohesion within paragraphs can be choppy and repetitive. This aligns well with the descriptors for Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items like 'independent', 'structured way', and 'resources'. However, there are numerous word choice and form errors, such as 'attending a formal classes', 'study indepedent have some cons', 'study's', and 'helping material'. Spelling errors such as 'Altough' and 'Beacuse' also appear. While communication is not severely impeded, the frequency of lexical inaccuracies and awkward collocations limits the score to a 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, though complex structures are frequently faulty. Examples of grammatical errors include subject-verb agreement issues like 'studying independently have some advantage', missing articles ('without assistance of a teacher'), and tense/form inconsistencies ('did'nt rely'). Punctuation is also problematic in places, such as fragments used as independent sentences ('For example, students have to follow a routine in institution like, in a first week...'). Due to the frequency of errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, the grammar performance is best placed at Band 5.0.
