IELTS Writing Task 2 question

A huge number of students choose to study English independently on a self- study basis rather than attend a formal course. However, without the assistance of a teacher, students often find it difficult to manage their studies.

To what extent do you agree or disagree ?

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Most students pursue their English studies at their own. For some reasons, they do not attend formal classes or use tutors. Additionally, those students face a lot of inconvenience during their journey. I strongly believe that English is more than just a language, because it is a formal way of communicating with people globally.

First of all, I believe there is always a teacher for everything you learn. Some people try to learn English by themselves, they put their all effort but did not get desired result. For instance, when i was doing my final year project at university, i faced many troubles, but after consulting to my professor, I got rid of that. Likewise, it is very difficult for a student to manage studies and then learn English at the same time. if someone can do, he must be eliminating his extracurricular activities.

On the other hand, in today's modern era where learning has become so easy through different AI tools, people can easily just write their queries and fetch the information they need, but they are unable to show consistency.

In my opinion, a teacher is not just a person who gives us instruction but he is also a reason for us to stay punctual and consistent.

In conclusion, learning something without a teacher can be stressful and unmanageable. Attending a formal course and lectures from a teacher can improve our daily learning. By attending lectures, we can also stay punctual and possess more knowledge about the subject we are looking for.
