Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary era, scholars prefre to study english subjects by their own without the guidence of any particluar tutor or a professionalist. But having no assistance of an expert can cause serious problem for a pupil. I partly contend on this view because now a days there are several facilities which are available on internet that can help a learner.
Firstly, Students may have to undergo different problems in learning different subjects. As modern studies are so complex which requires proper guidence of an experience person. So numerous obstacles demands proper knowledge to solve them which may not able for a beginner to accomplish with. As a result, this complexity cause unmotivation amongst students and they may avoid learning
For instance, my cousin failed ielts exam in frustration of not finding solution to problem relating to reading module. He faced this consequence becuse he does not prefre to contact any teacher.
Seondly, several innovations are proveing to be fruitful for all the remote learners. Because of multiple softwares and networking sites which can facilitate them by sitting home to tackle a problem by finding online solution. For instance Chatgpt is a popular application which provides all kind of information . many consider it for studying. Similarly English has become an common language in the word . This language has taken place all over the globe. So most of people are familiar with it that's why they may not find any difficulty in inderstanding it.For instance english is common in branding promotions ,on internet , on local shops so when a person undergo all the situation he will be use to this language
Moreover , I consider that physical interaction is always better then online communication. becausei it provides a chance to dealt with an query without any hurdle like bad internet etc.
in conclusion. the affective and risk free way of learning is accessing the services of an instructor rather then understanding it by own because it can sometime create unmanagable situations which are not easy to cope with on other hand online resources can help to some extend.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the difficulties of studying independently and the solutions offered by modern technology. You take a clear position by stating that you partly contend with the view, acknowledging both the lack of guidance and the availability of online resources like ChatGPT. However, your ideas are sometimes under-developed and lack full elaboration. For instance, while you mention that modern studies are complex, you do not fully explore the specific ways an independent learner might structure their study plan compared to a formal course. The examples provided, such as your cousin failing the IELTS exam, are relevant but remain somewhat anecdotal and brief. To reach a higher band, ideas need to be extended with more detailed explanations and wider argumentation regarding independent versus guided learning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has an overall coherent arrangement, and you attempt to structure your response using cohesive markers such as 'Firstly', 'Seondly', 'Moreover', and 'in conclusion'. However, paragraphing and referencing are sometimes faulty. The conclusion is awkwardly placed and split prematurely with a lowercase letter at the start. Furthermore, cohesive devices are occasionally repetitive or mechanically applied, and referencing is unclear in places, such as in the sentence 'so when a person undergo all the situation he will be use to this language'. Paragraph breaks are also slightly irregular, with some sentences floating isolated at the end of sections. Improving paragraph unity and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences will greatly enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your lexical range is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your main arguments, but it is marred by frequent spelling mistakes and inaccurate word choices. Examples of spelling errors include 'prefre' for prefer, 'guidence' for guidance, 'particluar' for particular, 'professionalist' for professional, 'unmotivation' for lack of motivation, 'becuse' for because, 'Seondly', 'proveing', 'inderstanding', 'then' for than, and 'extend' for extent. You attempt some less common vocabulary items such as 'contemporary era' and 'fruitful', but the frequency of lexical errors and awkward collocations like 'contact any teacher' or 'tackle a problem by finding online solution' restricts your score. You need to focus on accurate spelling and natural word combinations to improve.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You demonstrate an attempt at a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, featuring frequent errors that occasionally impede understanding. There are several sentence fragments or incomplete thoughts, such as 'As modern studies are so complex which requires proper guidence of an experience person.' Subject-verb agreement and article usage are also inconsistent, as seen in 'scholars prefre to study english subjects by their own' and 'failed ielts exam'. Punctuation and capitalization are erratic throughout the essay, with missing capital letters at the beginning of sentences ('in conclusion.') and spaces misplaced around punctuation marks. A greater control over basic sentence structure and punctuation is necessary for a higher band.
