Student answer (Band 4.5)
A lots of learners choose to study English independently on a self- study base as based on tool a basic course. However, without the help of trainer, students usually describe this challange to manage thier studies. I strongly agree self-study is useful, but a teacher is important for guidance and correction.
Overall, trainers are very significent for the learners. However, some students also relaxe study alone, on the other hand, many students have any no idea like speaking skills, communication skills, and other linds od the different skills. I mostly agree with this statement ans i will explain with the upcomimg paragraphs.
To begin with, some learners have sharp mind yet, they provide alone study, in addition, they have lots of ideas as well as more interest in self-study. For example, many students have alone study because it is very greatful for them. sometimes, they cannot understand the topic So, they usually take the online leacture about the topic. As result, they feel comfortable and memoy boost. theie interest in studying alone increase.
On the other hand, mostly students feels good in alone study but, they have no idea it is very harmful for them. Sometime, topic is very difficult for them So, they connot understood the topic. For Example, mostly learners have not understand some topic as well as, they discuss that topic to teacher than, teacher give the to much advice about the topic. Resultantly, after the discussing weak topic to teacher, than students grow sharply in the class as compared to do alone study. In my experience, some students do study with our teacher it is very beneficial for the learners.
in conclusion, some students do study with our teacher it is very beneficial for the learners. after the discussing weak topic to the trainer than, students grow sharply in the class as compared to do alone study.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt partially, presenting a clear position that self-study is useful but teachers are necessary for guidance and correction. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the paragraph discussing learners with sharp minds who study alone lacks well-supported arguments and relies on vague assertions such as 'it is very greatful for them'. While the student attempts to present both sides of the argument—the benefits of independent study versus the necessity of teacher assistance—the supporting examples are repetitive and lack depth. To move up, the writer needs to extend ideas more fully, providing specific, well-elaborated examples rather than generalized statements that circle back to the same points.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response shows some basic organization with paragraph breaks and logical connectors such as 'To begin with', 'On the other hand', and 'in conclusion'. However, there is no clear overall progression, and the logical flow is frequently disrupted by repetitive phrasing and inadequate linking of ideas. Cohesive devices are often used inaccurately or mechanically, as seen in the phrase 'Resultantly, after the discussing weak topic to teacher, than students grow sharply'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal structure of the paragraphs is disjointed, leading to a lack of overall cohesion. To improve, the writer must ensure that sentences follow a logical sequence and that cohesive devices are deployed with greater precision to connect ideas smoothly without redundancy.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The student employs basic terms and attempts some less common vocabulary, but this is frequently marred by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form, such as 'base' instead of 'basis', 'challange', 'significent', 'relaxe', and 'memoy boost'. Spelling errors are also present throughout the text, which occasionally causes difficulty for the reader. While the writer makes an effort to discuss academic concepts, the vocabulary lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. To enhance lexical resource, the student should expand their range of functional vocabulary and pay closer attention to word formation, accurate collocations, and correct spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The writing demonstrates a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside faulty attempts at complex forms. There are frequent grammatical errors involving verb forms, tenses, article usage, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions inside grammatical patterns, such as 'A lots of learners', 'without the help of trainer', 'mostly students feels good', and 'connot understood'. These persistent errors frequently cause difficulty for the reader and obscure the intended meaning. To achieve a higher standard, the writer needs to demonstrate a greater variety of complex sentence structures while exercising much tighter control over basic grammatical rules, punctuation, and clause structures to ensure error-free sentences.
