Student answer (Band 5.0)
A vast amount of students are interested in getting knowledge of English on their own assitance rather than attending special courses. However, without the support of an instructor, learners frequently find it problematic to manage their studies. I belive that without any knowledge no one can appproach to one's goals. The proper knowledge is only given by a professional coach. If there is no any teacher, students can't understand basics. They learn a lot of things but can't utilize in their daily routine.
To begin with, there are numerous students how have no money and they wanted to study. Therefore, they choose that self-study is the best path, with the passage of time they learn a lot of things. A large contributing factor behind not attending a formal course is the poor literacy rate. Several students go for an independent study plan, owing to that they often face critical domestic circumstances. However, they have a spark to do something big in their life. Therefore, such learners never lose hope and accept a self-study plan to achieve their aims. As a result, they find this option more beneficial than alternatives.
Additionally, the supporters of opposite viewpoint believe that without any instructor they are not able to attain their goals in life. They claim that in the survelliance of a teacher students can acquire major milestones. Their perspective is only valueable for those individuals, who have the same approach. For instance, I have been studying independently without any teacher. I believe when you set aims there should be no restriction in your way. You attain several things related to your particular subject on social media through internet.
In conclusion, a large number of students are aiming for self-study, because they do not want to pressurize their parents to pay fee for different courses. In contrast, others believe that a teacher plays a vital role in constructing basics. For them, there should be a teacher, without a coach they are nothing and make their path difficult for themselves.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt only partially, fulfilling the requirements for the given band level. While the student attempts to express a viewpoint regarding independent study versus formal courses, the position is not always clearly maintained or supported throughout the essay. Some ideas, such as financial constraints and the poor literacy rate, are introduced but remain limited and under-developed. Sentences like 'I belive that without any knowledge no one can appproach to one's goals' present broad assertions without sufficient explanation or relevant examples. To reach a higher standard, the writer needs to present a well-developed position with fully elaborated arguments and specific examples that directly address the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some organization, with basic paragraphing and the use of transitional markers such as 'To begin with', 'Additionally', and 'In conclusion'. However, there is no clear overall progression throughout the text. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or repetitive, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the ambiguous use of pronouns when discussing different perspectives. The logical flow between sentences is occasionally disrupted by abrupt shifts in ideas. To improve coherence and cohesion, the writer should ensure that each paragraph has a clear central topic, that ideas flow logically from one to the next, and that a wider range of cohesive devices is used accurately and flexibly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'survelliance' and 'circumstances', but these attempts are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form, including 'assitance', 'belive', and 'appproach'. There are also awkward collocations and repetitive phrasing throughout the response. These lexical errors sometimes cause difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher band, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire, pay closer attention to correct spelling and word formation, and use vocabulary with greater precision and stylistic awareness.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic complex forms that frequently contain errors. There are frequent grammatical mistakes, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('numerous students how have', 'students can't utilize in their daily routine'), article omission, and awkward prepositional usage. Attempts at more complex structures often result in faulty grammar that can cause difficulty for the reader. To improve in this area, the writer needs to work on mastering basic sentence construction, ensure accurate use of verb tenses and plurals, and incorporate a wider variety of error-free complex grammatical structures.
