Student answer (Band 4.5)
In my perspective that the huge number of students that they choose to study english independently on a self study basis are the wrong approach while the few students who wants to study english by a teacher are the sensible decision but both of the decision have their advantages and demrits. by self study with no teacher, student can get circumstances and can get problems regarding the words while the students who wants to student by the teacher they can solve their queries and doubts by asking the teacher while self dependent students may require to use google and dictionary but there positive side is that they can study anywhere and anytime and can get mulktiple hours while the students who wants a teacher they have limited time to study so its depends on the students what they have to choose they have their own choice to select any medium of study. i also belive that student who wants to study with teacher can save their time by finding the right answers to question by asking teacher they can solve thier problems in a minutes and by the thel of teacher experience they can get short tricks to remember and learn attnetion to detail and how to communicate or how to present yourself in a professional way on the other hand self dependent student may waste their precious time to find right answers and they can not get the actual environment to speak english they should have to use google and also waster their time to find a best website for practice.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the topic by comparing independent study with learning from a teacher, and you give relevant reasons: a teacher can answer questions and provide speaking practice, while independent learners have more flexibility. However, the response does not clearly answer “to what extent” you agree or disagree. Calling self-study “the wrong approach” suggests a strong position, but later saying that the choice depends on each student makes your view uncertain. The ideas are also mostly listed rather than explained with specific examples or developed support. To strengthen the response, state your degree of agreement clearly in the introduction and maintain that position, then explain and illustrate your main reasons.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response contains relevant comparisons, and phrases such as “on the other hand” signal a contrast. However, the ideas are not arranged into clear paragraphs, and nearly the entire response is one long sequence of points. This makes it difficult to follow the progression from your initial opinion to the advantages of each study method and your later conclusion. Connectors such as “while” and “but” are repeated, sometimes joining several separate ideas in the same sentence. Organise the essay into an introduction, focused body paragraphs and a conclusion. Give each paragraph one main point, and use full stops and a wider range of linking expressions to show how the ideas relate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “self study,” “queries and doubts,” “professional way” and “precious time,” so the reader can generally identify the comparison you intend. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes meaning harder to follow. For example, “get circumstances” does not express a clear difficulty, and “actual environment to speak English” is an imprecise way to describe opportunities for speaking practice. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “demrits,” “belive” and “attnetion.” Build a more precise vocabulary for learning methods and study challenges, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express complex comparisons using clauses with “while,” “but” and “on the other hand,” but these structures are often joined into very long sentences, and the limited punctuation makes relationships between ideas unclear. There are frequent errors in sentence formation and agreement, such as “the few students who wants” and “student can get,” as well as inconsistent article and plural use. The opening, “In my perspective that…,” is also not a complete, well-formed sentence. These problems sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas accurately; check subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries during revision.
