Student answer (Band 5.5)
Education is widely recognised as a cornerstone for the human development, whlie self-learning is accelerated at an unprecedentent rate in this contemporary world. Howerver, a few individuals contend that learning from an expert is better option instead of studing english by own. Whereas, I agree with the notion to a large extent because learning by own save a considerable amount of money and flexible for students those who comes from a modest middle-class family.
On the one hand, self study is budget friendly and children expand their konwledge without spending money, especially those who cannot afford tution fees and are not financially strong. For example, eklavya was mahabharat character and learned archery by own and he master the archery with his continous hardwork.
In addition, due to social media platforms learning become more convenient and easier because it consist of pevasive amount of knowledge and data regarding english. To give another example, Google, Youtube and Research gate are the better learning platforms, which expand our knowlege and these platforms are easy to use and inexpensive.
On the another hand, learning from professional is better because they teach us tips and tricks related the field. Another reason is learning under the proper guidence definitly enhance knowlege as well as teacher proliferate easy techniques, which saved the pervasive amount of time. For instance, subjects like pharmacology absolutely need guidences while an animal handling and estimation of drugs.
In conclusion, self-education is more reliable and beneficial beacuse technology is fluorishing by leaps and bounds, which precipitates an unlimited knowlege, which made learning more easier.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is stated in the introduction: you agree with self-study to a large extent, mainly because it is affordable and flexible. You also acknowledge the opposing view that teachers provide useful guidance, so the response engages with both sides of the issue. However, the reasons are only partly developed. The affordability point is illustrated through Eklavya, but this example does not clearly explain how independent English learners benefit. The references to Google and YouTube are relevant, yet the discussion does not show how these resources help students manage their studies. The pharmacology example is also not clearly connected to English learning. Develop each point with a direct explanation and a specific, relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weak: the Eklavya example does not clearly support the point about learning English, and the pharmacology example appears abruptly in the paragraph about teachers. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “these platforms” are understandable but do not develop the argument further. Improve cohesion by making each paragraph focus on one clear claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related and less common vocabulary, including “cornerstone,” “contemporary,” “proliferate,” and “precipitates.” The main ideas remain generally understandable, but inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “unprecedentent,” “pervasive amount of knowledge,” and “fluorishing”; “pervasive” does not naturally describe a quantity of information. There are also repeated forms of “knowledge” and “learning,” which limit flexibility. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than choosing words mainly for complexity. Proofread spelling carefully, and use straightforward expressions such as “a wealth of information” when they communicate your meaning more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “which,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “learning by own save” has problems with the subject, verb agreement, and sentence construction; “students those who comes” has incorrect relative-clause structure and agreement; and “learning become more convenient” uses an incorrect verb form. Articles and prepositions are also inconsistent, as in “a better option” and “related to the field.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly controlled subordinate clause, then check agreement, verb forms, and articles.
