Student answer (Band 5.5)
Significant number of pupils believe that they are able to learn English language by themselves. Students have confidence that without having any academic education they easily get knowledge about new language skill. But without any guideline and assits from tutors they face several type of problem that hamper their study. In my views I totally agree on this points that without any assisstants pupils are not able to get their desire language skills and they face many issue in many stages. Here I am giving outline both this issue prons and cons priorto giving reasoned conclusion.
Fortunately, this matter has some disadvantage that create impact on this issue in many ways. To begin with, if students try independently study languages they can not properly understand all of it. Priliminary they maybe get an idea about the language because now they have modern technology but its not possilbe for them intensively get that language. Language not only has voice and grammer but it has many thing that are significantly important. For example, if students start learnig without help after few while they find this very hard even they to not get it fully but teachers who know how to start and study it can make this more easy an understable.
Apart from that, some student feel they have enough talent to get new language and start to learn. But tutors know the exact way and style to teach this skills. Teachers know the method which make this language skills easy. And grammer is not easy things to understand without help from the teachers garmmer rules can not get easily. Although, without mentors it is vey diificult for the students but sometimes this habit can develop their skills. When they stydy by themselves it improve their ability to study and problem solving capacity which help them in their future life.
To sum up, here I am thoroughly discuss this matter. Although independent study has few good side but this are not applicable for overall students. Some special talentet students get advantage but without guideline they are not able to get full knowledge about this language skill.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear in the introduction: you “totally agree” that students struggle without assistance, and the essay gives relevant reasons, especially difficulty understanding grammar and the value of teachers’ methods. You also acknowledge a benefit of independent study, such as developing problem-solving ability, so the response considers both sides. However, the discussion does not fully explain the extent of your agreement: the concluding claim that students “are not able to get full knowledge” is stronger than the limited support provided, and the positive point is only briefly developed. The opening promises an outline of “pros and cons,” but the main argument remains general. Develop each reason with a specific example and explain how it supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Apart from that” and “To sum up” help readers recognise the stages of the essay. The main ideas are broadly grouped: the first body paragraph discusses understanding language, while the next focuses on teachers’ methods and a benefit of self-study. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several linking phrases feel mechanical or do not accurately describe the point—for example, “Fortunately” introduces disadvantages, and “Although” is used before a contrasting idea without a clear sentence structure. References such as “this issue” and “this matter” are vague. Use more precise links and make each paragraph develop one clearly defined point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to language learning, including “independently,” “guideline,” “grammar rules,” “mentors” and “problem solving capacity.” This gives the essay enough topic-related language to communicate its main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “get knowledge,” “language skills” and “make this more easy.” Spelling errors—including “assits,” “Priliminary,” “possilbe” and “diificult”—are noticeable and sometimes make reading less smooth. Work on accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “acquire knowledge,” “language proficiency” and “structured instruction” would help express your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure (“if students try independently study languages”) and a concession (“Although, without mentors…”). This shows an effort to vary sentence forms, but complex constructions are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “if students start learnig without help after few while they find this very hard” has problems with verb forms, articles and sentence punctuation. Agreement and sentence construction are also weak in “some student feel” and “Teachers know the method which make this language skills easy.” Practise building accurate clauses, especially with conditionals and relative clauses, and check subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation before submitting.
