Student answer (Band 5.0)
Teacher is a person who distributes knowledge.Teachers are the big source of distribuing knowledge among people. All the teachers are respectfull because the are the source of guidance who pushes people from ignorance to light. They taught us the thing that we didn't know before them. They make our life meaning full and bright. They are our big supporters after our parents.
If we talk about present era. This era is more advanced as compare to ancient time. The technology is replacing the humans.Due to the establishment of internet new apps are being developed.Which are just imagnery things for ancient people. Now the thinking of youth is completely changed they give preference to the online learning as compare to the teachers. As we know English is our international language. It is the only source of communication in foreign countries.
So it is crucial important to learn English language. The youth of present era prefered to learn English language independently rather than attend a formal course. In my opinion its not the best way to learn because the the guidence of a teacher tou can learn quickly and accurately. The tea hers are the gift of Almighty Allah.Without guidence of a teacher you can't learn properly beacause you don't have proper guidence and you don't have proper timing.Rather than these factors fluency came from practice. While the best source of practice is testing.which tou can't do by tourself. So you can't learn it without guidence and the best way of guidence os a teacher. You might learn English by youself but there will be no fluency and perfection. So i think so the best and quick way of learning is a teacher.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is ultimately clear: you disagree that independent learners can manage English study as effectively, arguing that a teacher provides guidance, structure and opportunities to practise. These points are relevant, and the contrast with online learning helps introduce the issue. However, the response addresses the question only partially because the reasons are asserted rather than explained in detail. For example, you say learners lack “proper timing” and cannot test themselves, but do not show how a teacher solves these problems or give a specific example. The opening praise of teachers and the discussion of technology also take space without directly developing the argument. Focus each body paragraph on one reason, explain its effect, and support it with a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a recognisable sequence: an introduction about teachers, a paragraph on technology and online learning, and a final paragraph stating your view. This gives the reader some sense of direction. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear because the opening general statements about teachers are only loosely connected to the specific question, and the shift from technology to the importance of English is abrupt. Linking expressions such as “So” and “Rather than these factors” do not always show the relationship between ideas clearly, while several points are repeated, especially the need for teacher guidance. Use focused paragraphs with clear topic sentences, then connect each supporting explanation directly to the main claim. Avoid sentence fragments after full stops, as these also interrupt the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “independently,” “formal course,” “guidance,” “fluency” and “practice.” These terms help communicate your central view. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, particularly “guidance” and “teacher.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “distributes knowledge,” “crucial important,” and “the best source of practice is testing.” Spelling errors, including “distribuing,” “imagnery” and “prefered,” also make the writing less clear and controlled. Aim for more precise academic phrasing and check spelling carefully. For instance, explain that a teacher can provide structured feedback and regular speaking practice rather than relying on broad claims about guidance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the main position can generally be understood. However, control is inconsistent: many sentences contain errors in sentence boundaries, verb forms, articles, agreement or punctuation. For example, “Which are just imagnery things for ancient people” is a fragment, and “The technology is replacing the humans” uses an unnecessary article. In “the guidance of a teacher tou can learn,” the sentence structure is incomplete, while “They taught us the thing” shifts tense and uses an unclear singular noun. Full stops also separate dependent clauses from the sentences they belong to. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense, articles and punctuation during revision.
