Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the modern world, rather than going to schools or coaching for learning english, students are choosing self study to learn english, while sometime they face problems to manage their studies without the guideless from educator. I partly agree with the statement because online course provide a wider indepth learning that student can do it themself whereas tutor are required to evaluted your learning.

On the one hand, online platforms provide a huge help to the learners to study by themself with courses like english. Platforms like kindle provides a english learning course, which has all basic learning of english such as grammer, tenses and sentence making. Other sources on internet also provide a proper guide courses. This will allows students to learn by their own and at their convient time.

On the other hand, tutors are important for leraning any courses. They can directly provide a solution if students are facing any difficulties in learning, also evaluted

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a relevant, partly agreeing position and identify two sides: online resources can support independent learning, while tutors can help students with difficulties. However, the response addresses the question only partially. The first point is illustrated with examples such as courses covering grammar and tenses, but the explanation does not show clearly how these resources help students manage their studies. The tutor point is left unfinished, and there is no developed example or conclusion clarifying the extent of your agreement. The response is also below the required 250 words, which limits the development of your reasons. To strengthen the answer, explain specific benefits and difficulties, support each with a relevant example, and state your position consistently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic, recognisable structure: an introduction followed by contrasting paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other hand.” This helps the reader identify your two main points. However, progression is limited because the second body paragraph ends abruptly after “also evaluted,” and the response has no concluding paragraph to bring the argument together. Some links are mechanical, and the relationship between ideas within sentences is not always clear, as in “This will allows students to learn by their own and at their convient time.” Develop each paragraph around one complete point, use clear transitions to explain cause and effect, and finish with a brief conclusion that restates your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “online platforms,” “learners,” “tutors,” and “difficulties,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices, spelling errors, and collocations make the writing less natural. Examples include “guideless from educator,” “a huge help,” and “proper guide courses”; these do not express the intended ideas precisely. There are also repeated errors in words such as “english,” “grammer,” and “convient.” Build a more accurate set of education-related phrases and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions for independent study, teacher feedback, and learning resources would help you explain your ideas clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including the contrast introduced by “whereas” and the opening clause “rather than going to schools or coaching.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur in basic sentence patterns as well as longer structures. For example, “online course provide” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “This will allows students” combines an incorrect verb form with the modal “will.” In “students can do it themself,” the pronoun does not agree with the plural subject. The final sentence is incomplete, which also makes the meaning difficult to follow. Practise agreement, articles, pronouns, and verb forms, and proofread each sentence to ensure it is complete.
