Student answer (Band 5.0)
A huge amount of students select to study English independently on a self-study basis rather than attend formal course; however, without the assistence of teacher, student often find difficulties to manage their studies. In my opinion, I agree with this statement whereas, I also believe that self study is key point to improve the style for student.
Without the guidance and support of a teacher the student can suffer from the different situation like lack of assistance and lack of resource. If the student can able to get take physical calss it is effective rather than the study alone because student can raise and solve the problem anytime with the prefessor which is very effective for the communication and the personality development field. For example some people take the online class and do self study at the time of pendamic corona they suffer when the physical class start the half number of students fail that year at class 12 in nepal.
The student who study self rather than fully dependent with the teacher they can achive any thing in their future because when do some things by their-self they face the challenges and become the stronger rather than dependent student. For example the students who did research and study their some course self he is able to be a self sufficient and more hardworker. Student must have to take the physical with no if and but.
In conclusion, the students who take formal class rather than the self study they become more professional and confident rather than the self-study but self study is the key to develop the better habit

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a relevant response and state a position, agreeing that teacher support is important while also arguing that self-study builds independence. The examples about students struggling when returning to physical classes and learners becoming self-sufficient relate to the topic. However, the position is not consistently clear: “I agree with this statement whereas, I also believe…” introduces two views without explaining how they fit together, and the conclusion favours formal classes despite the earlier claim that self-study is essential. Several points, such as students failing after the pandemic, need clearer explanation and support. Develop the extent of your agreement explicitly, then explain each main reason with a specific, logically connected example. The response meets the stated length requirement; 12 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use basic linking expressions such as “For example” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within and between paragraphs is difficult to follow. The first body paragraph moves from lack of resources to communication and then to pandemic-related exam results without clearly connecting these points. The second paragraph’s claim that independent learners become stronger is followed by an unclear example, then an abrupt recommendation for physical classes. Some linking words, including “however” and “rather than,” do not clarify the relationship between ideas. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, explain it, and use clear references and transitions to show how the example supports it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “guidance,” “support,” “self-sufficient,” “professional” and “confident,” which helps communicate your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make parts of the argument difficult to understand. For example, “raise and solve the problem” does not clearly express asking questions, while “take the physical” is unclear in the context of attending classes. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “assistence,” “calss” and “achive.” Build a more precise vocabulary for education and learning, check spelling carefully, and learn common combinations such as “attend classes,” “ask questions” and “access learning resources.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional structure beginning “If the student…” and a contrast between formal learning and self-study. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement and articles sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. Examples include “the student can able to get take,” “the student who study,” and “when do some things by their-self.” The opening sentence also joins contrasting ideas with a semicolon and “however” in a way that needs more accurate punctuation. Practise building complete clauses with a clear subject and verb, and check singular/plural agreement and articles. Short, accurate sentences would help make your reasoning clearer before you attempt more complex structures.
