Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that students study alone without a teacher or without a programm will often find it difficult to manage their studies. In my opinion a largelly agree with this view because the teacher is very important to learn english from him.
In the one hand, the main reason why students prefer to study alone without teacher is that they have a flexibility to study, also they can learn for much time respectively, moreover there are many diffrent sources to learn from them such as online cources, watching english videos, learning new vocabulary from movies and using intelligance artificiel like chatgbt.
In the other hand, this things are not enough to be excelent in english because the teacher usually have a great programm, also he can help students by his experience, meanwhile he always divide the work into small parts to make a lessons easier, moreover students can practise with their teacher every day and he gives their many advise such as being patient, hard working, and never giving up, and always teacher have a stratigie for learning english, for instance, he divide a week into three part, one part for vocabulary and grammer, the second part for writing, and the last part for speaking, so that makes the students orgenized and do not feel worried.
In conclusion, although students choose to study english independetley on a self-study basis rather than attend a formal course is useful,I believe that teacher is very imortant and he makes always their students orgenized, don't feel worried and improved.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that you largely agree teachers help students manage their learning, and you address both the advantages of independent study and the support a teacher provides. The examples of dividing a week between vocabulary, grammar, writing and speaking are relevant. However, several points are asserted rather than explained—for example, that teachers make students “not feel worried”—and the conclusion does not fully clarify how far you agree. The response also contains 238 words, so it is 12 words below the required minimum; the 19 words copied from the prompt are not included in that count. Develop one or two reasons more fully and add a specific example to complete the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow your general argument. However, progression within the body paragraphs is weakened by long strings of ideas joined with “also,” “moreover,” and “meanwhile.” The second body paragraph, in particular, combines teacher experience, advice, practice and a weekly plan in one sentence, making the relationships between points unclear. Some linking phrases are also used inaccurately, such as “In the one hand” and “In the other hand.” Use shorter sentences, organise each paragraph around one main point, and use clear transitions such as “On the one hand” and “By contrast.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “flexibility,” “sources,” “vocabulary,” and “strategy.” The examples of online courses, videos and AI tools also show an attempt to use relevant language. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or imprecise expressions make the writing less clear, including “programm,” “diffrent,” “excelent,” and “org enized” (written as “orgenized”). Some combinations are unnatural, such as “learn for much time” and “gives their many advise.” Aim to learn accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “study for longer periods” and “provide advice” would make your points clearer and more academic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a longer example introduced by “for instance.” However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and frequent errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “In my opinion a largelly agree” has an incomplete structure, while “the teacher usually have” and “he divide” show subject–verb agreement problems. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “without teacher” and “three part.” Several sentences run on without clear punctuation, especially the paragraph beginning “In the other hand.” Practise accurate sentence patterns, agreement and article use, and divide long sentences into shorter units.
