Student answer (Band 6.0)

English is considered as a universal language of world. People from different area must be well-versed with this language for fluent communication. Majority of students prefer to study it without involving any professional guidance either from a course or teacher. However, this approach leads in poor study management. I completely agree to involve a mentor or a professional course.

English is the most effective language fro communication. Majority of international trades and businesses decisions are communicated in this language. Understanding the seriousness of this langage, every student must enroll into a professional course. The course acts a foundation to english. Guidance from a mentor helps in aligning and risk-free growth for an individual, thereby minimizing errors. English involves many concepts like grammer, puncuations, subject-verb agreement, conjunctions, etc. Learning these concepts helps in improving language and builds confindence. As an example, every primary schools are providing compulsory english courses to students.

Other reason to inlvolve a mentor is beacuse of continous feedback. Teachers provide feedback to students for their errors. On achieving instant feedback, students can quickly rectify their errors. Additionaly, this approach adds an improvement in fluency. Speech is the most importabt part of language. From continuous evaluation by teachers and daily speaking habit, students get aquianted with english at a quicker pace. People who do not provide preference to english struggles with their basic education. As a result, they end us with wrong pronouncations, and significantly reduced fluency.

To conclude, I would like to add that every student must prepare english under guidance of an expert. It could be either from a course or a tutor. This approach may feel tedious in earlier stage but shows a very good result in latter stage.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction—“I completely agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the central issue by explaining how a teacher or course can provide structure, teach language concepts, and give feedback. These are relevant reasons, and the examples about school courses and correcting errors help support them. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the claim that English is important in international business does not directly show why independent learners struggle to manage their studies. The discussion of pronunciation and basic education also needs a clearer link to teacher support. More specific examples and fuller development of these less-developed points would make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. The progression from foundational instruction to ongoing feedback is logical, and phrases such as “Other reason” and “To conclude” signal the stages of the argument. This gives the essay a coherent framework. At times, however, connections between ideas are abrupt or unclear. For example, the move from feedback to fluency, then to people struggling with basic education, is not fully explained. Some linking phrases also feel mechanical, and references such as “this approach” could identify more precisely which approach is meant. Use transitions that show the exact relationship between claims and examples, and develop each paragraph around one clearly connected line of reasoning.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to education and language learning, including “professional guidance,” “foundation,” “feedback,” “fluency,” and “subject-verb agreement.” This gives you enough topic-related language to communicate your main ideas. However, the range and control are uneven, with repeated use of general terms such as “approach,” “language,” and “students,” alongside noticeable spelling and word-choice errors. Examples include “langage,” “grammer,” “puncuations,” “confindence,” and “pronouncations.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “aligning and risk-free growth” and “prepare english under guidance.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Build a bank of accurate collocations for teaching and learning, and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a clause of result in “thereby minimizing errors” and a conditional-style contrast in “This approach may feel tedious … but shows a very good result.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but grammatical control is inconsistent. For example, “Majority of students prefer” needs an article or plural subject, “The course acts a foundation” is missing a preposition, and “every primary schools are providing” has an agreement problem. The sentence beginning “People who do not provide preference…” also has a subject–verb agreement error in “struggles.” Review articles, agreement, and prepositions, and check that longer sentences have a clear grammatical structure. More accurate complex sentences would strengthen the range you are already attempting.
