Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often argure that some student like to leaning english language own their on but some students joing a formal course althought, without the guidance of teacher student face difficulties in their studies. In this essay we will discuss both point of views, why i agree that student would face difficulties with the assitance of teacher.

Self study is very important and popular method to learn and master in any type of studies. Some student use this way to improve their language skill by writing , reading ,speaking and listen and the easily learn the english language rather than joining any sort of classes. For example students who focused on learning lanaguage they use different types of website, app for learning the lanaguage which help them to improve their vocablary, grammer and puncuation.Even this approch offer several advantages but there are few disadvantages as well.

On the other hand, i strongly believe that students should have assistance of a teacher and the significant reason is that app or website can help student that what teacher can.Tutors can provides us a advance knowledge about language through their experience especially in speaking because speaking english is totally depend on a individual with whom you can speak and improve your fluency. For instance with help of app you can not get the confidence to speak english language infront of your fellow student, colleages or in any kind of presantation you need the assistance of a teacher who speak with you in english to bosst your confidence and correct your mistakes and make your more well-spoken.

In conclusion ,Both aspects has their own prowns and cown.According to my opinion that assistance of teacher is helpful as compare to self studies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address the question and make your position clear: you believe teacher support is more helpful than studying alone. The discussion of independent learning is relevant, with examples such as using websites and apps to practise language skills, and you explain that teachers can support speaking confidence and correct mistakes. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the advantages of self-study are listed more than explained, while the teacher’s role receives fuller support. The claim that apps cannot provide what teachers can is also broad and could be qualified. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely when independent study works well and why teacher guidance is especially valuable, using a specific example to support each point.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on self-study, a contrasting paragraph on teacher support, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. The introduction promises to discuss “both point of views,” but the conclusion does not clearly summarise both sides, and the phrase “the significant reason is that app or website can help student that what teacher can” makes the relationship between ideas difficult to follow. Some sentences also contain several points without clear separation. Use clearer topic sentences, divide long sentences where needed, and make references such as “this approach” or “these benefits” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to language learning, including “fluency,” “vocabulary,” “confidence,” and “assistance,” and you attempt some less common expressions such as “well-spoken.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: examples include “argure,” “lanaguage,” “vocablary,” and “puncuation.” Several phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “master in any type of studies,” “a advance knowledge,” and “prowns and cown.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than more elaborate wording. Proofread spelling carefully and learn phrases in context—for example, “improve language skills,” “gain confidence,” and “advantages and disadvantages”—to make your meaning clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast introduced by “although” and a reason introduced by “because.” The main argument is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “some student like” needs plural agreement, “Tutors can provides” has an incorrect verb form, and “speaking english is totally depend” uses an incorrect construction. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “assistance of teacher” and the run-on transition between the opening sentences. Practise subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb patterns, then check punctuation so each sentence expresses one complete idea. More accurate control of these structures would make your reasoning easier to follow.
