Student answer (Band 5.0)
A large number of scholar choose to study English on their own rather than attending a general lessons.I strongly agree that studying without a tutor can make it difficult for learners to manage progress.
To begin with ,teachers help students by guilding them ,correct their mistakes in writing, speaking and reading. They help scholars to study progressivesly by adaptating group discussions, for instance ,a person who is not a quick learner can learn quickly through group reading and good tutoring. He or she can be able to read or write.
On the other hand ,tutors makes learning enjoyable for them ,by guiding them through that time, they helps them correct errors, walk them throughout the time they have been struggling to meet up with others. Scholars can go to youtube and watch the videos of the previous lessons via youtube, they tend to rewatch it whenever they are lagging behind ,for instance someone who do not get clear explanation of some topics can go to youtube to watch the video and learn from the lesson with the help of of being present in the class. They wount find it boring and being new to them because they have been introduced to the topic before.
On the other hand, studying independently allows students to study at their own pace, and choose ,convenient study times. For instance a student who is working or preparing for ielts exam can confidently study at her own time, by watching youtube and learning online without a tutor or guiduance.
In conclusion, i partialy agree that ,learning independently is good, rather than learning with a tutor.I strongly believe that learing with teachers shows you a path way to learning and which makes learning easier for peoples, because their errors ,mistakes are being corrected with the help of tutors.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear general view that teacher support helps learners, and you also acknowledge the benefit of independent study, especially flexible timing for someone working or preparing for IELTS. These points are relevant to the question. However, the position is not fully consistent: the opening says you “strongly agree,” while the conclusion says you “partially agree” and then again strongly favours teachers. The discussion also focuses more on what tutors do than on why independent learners may struggle to manage their studies. Examples such as group reading and using YouTube are mentioned, but their connection to managing study is not always explained. State your degree of agreement consistently and develop each reason with a clearer explanation and specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas are generally related to the topic. You use signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion.” However, the progression is difficult to follow because “On the other hand” introduces tutor support in the second body paragraph, then introduces independent study in the next one. The long paragraph about tutors, YouTube and reviewing lessons combines several points, while some sentences run together without clear punctuation. References such as “they” and “them” are not always easy to connect to a specific group. Give each main idea its own paragraph, use contrast markers only when the relationship is genuinely contrasting, and link examples explicitly to the point they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “independently,” “group discussions,” “errors,” “convenient study times” and “guidance.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, spelling and word-form errors make parts less clear. Examples include “guilding,” “progressivesly,” “adaptating,” “wount” and “path way.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “study progressivesly” and “meet up with others.” Aim to learn common collocations for education and use them accurately; proofreading for spelling and word forms will also make your meaning easier to follow. Avoid repeating “youtube” and “learning” when a more precise expression can be used.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a conditional example beginning “someone who is working or preparing for IELTS.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “teachers help students by … correct their mistakes” does not maintain a consistent verb pattern, and “tutors makes” and “they helps” show subject–verb agreement problems. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also unreliable: “They help scholars to study progressivesly by adaptating group discussions, for instance…” joins ideas without clear separation. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a supporting clause, checking agreement, verb forms, articles and punctuation before adding more complexity.
