Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is stated that a huge number of students choose to study English independently on a self- study basis rather than attend a formal course. However, without the assistance of a teacher, students often find it difficult to manage their studies. However, in my opinion, while I believe if students may choose to take assistance of a teacher, students manage their studies more effectively, it is the most suitable option and I strongy agree with this point.
Nowadays a huge number of students select to study independently. Some people thinking that is a better way to studing. But I widely believe, students should seek help from teachers to manage their studies in a better way. For example, teachers can guide students choose to better future paths. Not only that, but also, most students often make mistakes. So, teachers can correct their mistakes and they can teach how to manage difficult things. Meanwhile, sometimes children have to face difficulties such as, grammer mistakes, lack of knowledge, lack of understanding and they don't know how to manage their time as well. If they attend a formal course or seek assistance from teachers students can drive their future and english knowledge more effectively.
On the other hand, some of students choose to study English independently on a self- study basis rather than attend a formal course. Sometimes, self- study is a best way to studing. That is to say, children can increase critical thinking, hard working and build their confidence. Besides this, student can save their time and money as well. Nowadays, lot of formal courses are charge higher rates. So, children can save money for this courses. Wheras, internet provides so many informations about english language. So, students can collect new words and grammer rules. In addition, there are soo many AI tools. Which is get many benefits for school children.
In conclusion, students choose to study English independently on a self- study basis rather than attend a formal course. While, it gets some benefits as well. However, student should seek guidnes from teachers. Because, a good teacher is lika a guide who shows the right path to students. Finally, students take assistance from teachers benefits outweigh the self- study basis.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the question and make your position clear: you strongly support teacher assistance, while acknowledging that independent study can save time and money and build confidence. The reasons about teachers correcting mistakes and helping students manage difficult material are relevant. However, some points are asserted rather than explained—for example, teachers guiding students towards “better future paths” is not clearly connected to managing English study. The benefits of self-study are also listed, but their importance is not weighed against the advantages of teacher support. Develop one or two examples in more detail and explain why they lead you to agree. The response includes 72 words copied from the task prompt; these do not contribute to your own argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs presenting teacher support and self-study, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad contrast. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes uneven: the first body paragraph moves from future paths to mistakes and time management without fully linking these points. Connectors such as “Not only that,” “Meanwhile,” and “On the other hand” are used, but some transitions feel mechanical or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. The conclusion repeats the prompt’s wording before restating your view. Use clearer topic sentences, link each supporting detail to the paragraph’s main claim, and make references such as “this” or “they” more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “critical thinking,” “confidence,” “formal course,” and “manage their time.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which makes some points less clear. Examples include “a better way to studing,” “students can drive their future,” and “formal courses are charge higher rates.” Spelling and word-form errors such as “grammer,” “guidnes,” and “strongy” also reduce accuracy. Aim to use more precise phrases for learning and instruction, and check spelling and collocations carefully. Replacing repeated general terms such as “better” and “benefits” with specific descriptions would make your argument more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening and clauses introduced by “while” and “because.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences. For example, “while I believe if students may choose to take assistance of a teacher, students manage their studies more effectively” has an unclear clause structure, and “Which is get many benefits” is an incomplete sentence with an incorrect verb form. There are also errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and punctuation, as in “student can save their time” and “Because, a good teacher…”. Practise building complex sentences around one clear main clause, then check verb forms and sentence boundaries.
