Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is true that a big portion of pupile choose to study english on their own as self-study rather than attend a formal class. Whereas, whithout a personal assitance or a teacher, students often find it problematic to handle their studies because they are not able to identify some hidden mistakes, how to follow a proper guideline and might get confused and that's why I fully agree with the statement.

Study english requires a lots of assistance where the student get to know about the basic grammar rules and the guidance. Without the proper rules of english student faces huge dificulties to making the santences. For instance, if a student started to learn english on his own he will get confused but if the student get a proper guidance then the teacher can give the basic knowledge about the noun, verb, tense and other basic rules of grammar.

On top of that if a student get some personal assistance from his teacher then the student can identify the mistakes that he or she making again and again and the tearcher can easily detect the pattern that the puplie unable to identify. For example, if a student trying to prepare for IELTS exam and he his constantly making the mistakes on subject verb agreement than the teacher can tell him how to improve the mistakes he his doing. On the other hand in some cases student can nowadays get help from AI which is also benefitial who is trying to study on their own but the problem occuers when the AI also providing the false or biased answer. That is why persinal teacher is must needed to learn english properly.

In conclusion, it is true that huge number of people try to learn english by slef-study rather than formal class but without the assitance of a teacher a student might get confused and that is why a tutor can provide him a good guideline and identify his mistakes properly and give a best feedback, for that reason i truly agree with the statement.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction—“I fully agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the central issue by explaining that learners may struggle to understand grammar, follow a study plan, and recognise repeated mistakes. The examples about learning subject–verb agreement and receiving feedback from a teacher are relevant. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the claim that independent learners become confused could be developed by showing how this affects progress or motivation. The point about AI adds a useful qualification, but its connection to your overall argument could be clearer. Develop each main reason with a fuller explanation and a specific, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Linking phrases such as “For instance,” “On top of that,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, some connections feel mechanical or unclear. The second body paragraph moves from teacher feedback to AI, then back to the need for a personal teacher, so the relationship between these points is not fully smooth. There is also some repetition of the idea that teachers provide guidance and identify mistakes. Group related points more tightly, use pronouns with clear references, and make transitions explain how each idea supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to education, including “formal class,” “basic grammar rules,” “personal assistance,” and “subject verb agreement,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “biased answer” and “identify the pattern.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word combinations are noticeable, including “pupile,” “assitance,” “making the santences,” and “a good guideline.” Repetition of “student,” “teacher,” and “basic” also limits the range. These issues sometimes make the reader pause, although the intended meaning is usually recoverable. Check spelling carefully and build a bank of natural collocations for discussing learning, feedback, and progress.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if a student started to learn English on his own” and clauses explaining what a teacher can do. This gives the response some variety, and the overall meaning can generally be followed. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “the student get to know” needs subject–verb agreement, while “the student can identify the mistakes that he or she making” is missing an auxiliary verb. The long opening sentence also joins several ideas in a way that weakens control. Practise accurate present-tense patterns and check each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and complete clause.
