Student answer (Band 4.5)
A huge number of students choose to study english independently on a self-study basis rather than attend a formal course. However, without the assistance of a teacher, students often find it difficult to mange their studies. I agree with the statement because without the help or asissit of a teacher , students usually find it difficult to mange their academy.
Students who takes help of a teacher can easily access to the academy and focus on study easily. Many students choose to study independently on a self-study basis rather than attend a formal class of course but students who go through the guide of teacher can focus study very easily. Every students have their own technque to analyse the course but the easier part is to take a help from respective course or a subject teacher.
Many students choose to study independently because they feel free to study without any help of teacher or guide. It is a very good habit for a student to be independent on study which could help them for their future as well. Student who are independent are more likely to be private and stay focus on what they are planning to read which is a very good sign for becoming better on future.
Students often find it difficult to mange their studies without the assistance of teacher which is very abvious in my opnion. Student feel very easy after the guide of teacher of certain course or subject.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear position in the introduction: “I agree with the statement,” and you mention both teacher guidance and the potential benefits of independent study. However, the response only minimally develops the question. The points about teachers helping students focus and independent study building independence are repeated or asserted without specific explanations or examples, and the conclusion simply restates that students find studying difficult. The response is also 49 words below the 250-word minimum; 45 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To address the task more fully, explain how a teacher helps students plan, correct mistakes, or stay motivated, and support these points with a relevant example. You could also clarify how you weigh the benefits of independence against the difficulties.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has separate paragraphs, and its overall topic remains recognisable: teacher support and independent learning. However, ideas are not arranged into a clear line of argument. The second paragraph repeats that students with a teacher can focus, while the third introduces the benefit of independence without showing how this relates to your stated agreement. The final paragraph repeats the opening claim rather than drawing the discussion together. Linking phrases such as “but” and “which” appear, but they do not consistently clarify the relationship between ideas. Give each paragraph one distinct purpose, order the points to build your argument, and use clear references and transitions to connect them.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a small set of relevant terms, including “independently,” “formal course,” “assistance,” and “focus,” so the reader can identify the subject. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, with “students,” “study,” “teacher,” and “help” appearing frequently. Several inaccurate word choices or collocations make the meaning less natural, such as “access to the academy,” “focus study,” and “independent on study.” There are also spelling errors, including “mange,” “asissit,” “technque,” and “abvious.” Build a more precise range for discussing learning, such as planning, feedback, progress, and motivation, and check spelling and common word combinations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “Many students choose to study independently because they feel free to study…” This shows some ability to connect ideas, and the main message is generally understandable. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently in agreement, articles, and verb forms. Examples include “Students who takes,” “Every students have,” and “Student feel.” Articles are also missing in phrases such as “without the assistance of teacher.” Punctuation spacing is inconsistent, as in “teacher ,” and some long sentences are awkwardly joined. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and article use, then vary sentence patterns while keeping each sentence clear.
