Student answer (Band 4.5)

A lot number of studentschoice of study english independently on a self-study basis rather than attend a formal coures. However without the observation of ateacher, students often find it difficult to manage his studies.

Now a days many students over compedants because they knows i will manage every things for us, but there they were wrong. The english is a basic subject in over all the subjects, because english is a lactratur. They need a best teacher and also a good envorment, without the instrctuer is so diffecult. The self-base study is so hardf for a students. The self-base study the have not achave has goal properly.I am not agree with us for the self-base study. The able teacher have present the class he also expland every things to the students and students also learn easly and properly.

I am disagree for the self-base study because the valeble time of the students have loss. The teacher and students shear our knowledge to one and other they have learent a lot of knowledge and also well experd in our subject.

My experience the teacher have most he shear his knowledge to his students, and teach us. The education is not possible with out the teacher because the govrnamet have not haire teacher, on the university level many students have choes self-base studies becase they have no need of the assistance.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You take a position against independent study, stating, “I am not agree” and later “I am disagree,” and you give relevant reasons: students may lack goals, lose valuable time, and benefit from a teacher’s explanations and shared knowledge. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than explained or supported with a clear example, and the discussion of university students who choose self-study is not connected clearly to your position. The response also contains 212 words, so it is 38 words below the required minimum; this limits the space available to develop your argument. To strengthen the response, state your position accurately in the introduction, explain each reason, and add a specific example showing how teacher guidance helps learners manage their studies.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is some basic organisation: the response begins with the issue, gives reasons against self-study, and includes a paragraph about your experience. However, the progression between ideas is difficult to follow. For example, “The english is a basic subject” and the later point about government not hiring teachers do not clearly connect to the argument about managing independent study. Linking phrases such as “Now a days” and “because” are used, but relationships between claims are often unclear, and references such as “they” and “us” are difficult to identify. Use one paragraph for each main reason, begin each with a clear topic sentence, and connect examples directly to the point they support.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

Your vocabulary is basic and repetitive, with repeated use of “teacher,” “students,” “knowledge,” and “self-base study.” Some wording makes the intended meaning hard to understand, as in “over compedants,” “a lactratur,” and “well experd in our subject.” There are relevant attempts to express ideas such as “manage,” “assistance,” and “valuable time,” but spelling errors and inaccurate word choices frequently strain the reader. Build a more precise set of terms for this topic, such as “independent learning,” “study plan,” and “teacher guidance,” and check spelling and collocations carefully. This would help you express your reasons more clearly without relying on repeated general words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including “The teacher and students shear our knowledge to one and other,” but control of sentence structure is limited and errors are frequent. Examples include “students often find it difficult to manage his studies,” where the pronoun does not agree with “students,” and “they knows,” where the verb form is incorrect. The position statements “I am not agree” and “I am disagree” also show problems with verb patterns. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries are often inaccurate, and several clauses run together. Practise forming clear subject–verb–object sentences, then combine them with accurate connectors; proofread agreement, verb forms, and punctuation.
