Student answer (Band 4.0)

Todays, a huge number of student choose to study English independently on a self- study basis rather than attend a formal course. However, without the assistance of a teacher, students often find it difficult to manage their studies. I largely agree with this eassey because many students think that english learn to basis rather than attend a formanl course plus some candidates was eassely lern bus huge pulpes often find it difficult to manage their preparation without the assistance of a teacher.

On the one hand, many candidate choose to study english they belive that they are learn to english without the assistance of a teacher but student has not think that without teacher of studies has oftening find it difficult to manage their preparations. Firstly, teacher was teached a learly and you know of eassly for english subject. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a position—“I largely agree”—and refer to the difficulty of managing study without a teacher, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the reasons are only minimally explained: the point that teachers help students learn clearly is not developed with a specific explanation or example. The discussion of apps and online classes introduces a possible counterpoint, but it does not clearly explain whether these tools overcome the difficulties you identify. The conclusion repeats your position without summarising a developed argument. The response is 237 words, below the 250-word minimum; 41 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop two clear reasons and support each with a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion, showing an attempt to organise the answer. However, the ideas within paragraphs are difficult to follow and are not arranged in a clear line of reasoning. For example, the first body paragraph moves from students choosing independent study to teacher instruction and then to lack of focus, without explaining how these points connect. “Secondly” does not clearly mark a new supporting reason, and the final sentence fragment, “Furthermore without the assistance of teacher,” interrupts the conclusion. Use one main idea per paragraph, connect each explanation explicitly to your position, and ensure every sentence is complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “independently,” “formal course,” “assistance,” “preparation,” and “online classes.” These choices show an attempt to discuss study methods and support. However, the vocabulary is basic and highly repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors strain the reader’s effort to understand the message. Examples include “eassey,” “formanl,” “pulpes,” and “availebal”; phrases such as “learn to english” and “preparation to survel apps” are also unclear or unnatural. Build a reliable set of accurate expressions for describing independent learning, teacher guidance, and study challenges, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise wording would make your ideas easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall position can be identified. However, grammatical control is inconsistent: errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles frequently make meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “many students think that english learn to basis” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “teacher was teached” uses an incorrect verb form. In “students often find it difficult,” the subject and verb are controlled, but this accuracy is not sustained in the body paragraphs. The conclusion also ends with the incomplete sentence “Furthermore without the assistance of teacher.” Practise forming complete subject–verb sentences first, then combine them with accurate clauses using “because” or “although.”
