Student answer (Band 5.5)
English language plays a crucial role in nowadays education. Although, a considerable number of leaners prefer to learne this language by theirselves, despite atendence a proper class and without any teacher help often face time management challenges, I totally agree with this view because a triditional class is play a viable role in a better communication skill as well as provides students with significant opportunities.
on the one hand , self- study provides an opportunity to learners to set a proper schedule according to their personal affordability. Because the can choose different study materials such as watching educational videos ans prectice english through online websites. Furthermore, self- study is more affordable than attending a proper language course. For instance, through online websites students can improved their english communication skills without any payment.
On the other hand, learning without the assitence of teacher may creats many difficulties. I strongly agree with this point-of -view, because without of constructer learners may be unable to highlight their mistakes. As a result, they will repeat the same fualts in the future. For instance, an english teacher can explain coplex gramatical roles , correct writing mistakes and provides with useful study strategies. This guidance can make the learning proccess more easy , productive and well organised.
To sum up, Although indepente study is more convenient and offodable, I believe that teachers remain important because they provide learners with proper direction. Also proper class improves students commun

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall position—“I totally agree”—and address both the advantages of independent study and the difficulties of learning without a teacher. The points about flexible scheduling, affordability, feedback on mistakes, and study strategies are relevant, with examples such as using online materials and receiving help with grammar. However, the response only partly develops the question: the benefits of self-study take up space without being clearly connected to whether students can manage their studies, and the teacher’s role is asserted more than explained. The conclusion is cut off, leaving your final point incomplete. The response is also 9 words below the required minimum. Develop the central argument further and finish the conclusion with a complete summary of your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting points, and an attempted conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the shift between ideas, and examples generally follow the claims they support. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and some linking is mechanical or inaccurate. For example, “Because the can choose…” is an incomplete sentence, while “I strongly agree with this point-of-view” repeats the position rather than advancing the explanation. The conclusion begins with “To sum up” but ends abruptly, so the essay does not reach a complete final thought. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and ensure every paragraph and sentence is complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “affordability,” “communication skills,” “guidance,” and “productive,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and frequent spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make some phrases difficult to read. Examples include “leaners,” “by theirselves,” “constructer,” and “gramatical roles”; “proper class” is also repeated rather than replaced with a more precise expression. These errors sometimes obscure meaning, as in the sentence about learning without a teacher. Build a reliable set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and natural word combinations. Prefer precise phrases such as “language course,” “independent learners,” and “identify their mistakes.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in the opening and a result clause beginning “As a result.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation frequently affect clarity. For example, “a triditional class is play” combines incompatible verb forms, while “the can choose” lacks a clear subject and “students can improved” uses the wrong verb form. The opening sentence also joins several ideas in a way that makes the main clause difficult to follow. Some sentences communicate their meaning, but complex attempts are often faulty. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a complete structure.
