Student answer (Band 5.0)

There is no denying the fact that student like to learn english with thier own without a teacher who guide them , eventhogh i belive this method van make you progres but for sur you will find some difficult's who teacher can help you with it .

To began thier is some student prefare to study english independently in thier home to be in formal course with others . in other word those student may have some difficulties like they dont have a self confidant they a shaimed to be wronge infronte other's .In addition to be belluied by them classmate that lead them to study alone rather to attend in school for example i know some people who suffred from bolluis so they decide to learn it in home and they became better even they have some difficlties .

Moreover, in our era there is some new devoelopment that can be replacment for formal course such as zoom app many students became study in it with friends or private teachers .It is also posible to say that make them find a soloution for thier difficlties without teacher to manage thier studies . for instence people who have a lack of self confidance those apps can help him to learn properly.

In conclusion, there are no easy answers to this question. On balance, however,

I tend to believe that formal cours can be batter for english learners because they can improve thier speak with others eventhogh students should have a confidante for them self's

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the topic and give a position: the opening recognises that independent study can help learners progress, while the conclusion favours formal courses because students can practise speaking. You also offer relevant reasons, including embarrassment in class, bullying, and online lessons. However, the extent of your agreement is not consistently clear: the discussion of apps suggests students can manage difficulties without a teacher, but the conclusion supports formal courses without resolving this contrast. Several points are asserted rather than explained, and the examples about bullying and confidence do not fully show how teacher support affects study management. State your position clearly from the introduction and develop each reason with a direct link to the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “In addition,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help identify stages of the argument. However, the progression between ideas is not always clear. The first body paragraph moves from independent study to confidence, bullying and an example without showing how these points connect to managing studies. The paragraph about Zoom also shifts between studying with teachers and finding solutions without a teacher. Some linking phrases are used mechanically, and references such as “them” and “it” can be unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “independently,” “formal course,” “self confidence” and “private teachers,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts to express more specific ideas, such as learners feeling ashamed of making mistakes or being bullied. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, for example “batter,” “devoelopment,” “soloution” and “bolluis.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “study English with their own” and “improve their speak.” Build accuracy by learning common collocations for education and checking spelling, while choosing straightforward expressions you can use reliably.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “even though” and a reason introduced by “because.” This shows an effort to connect ideas rather than relying only on short statements. However, sentence structures are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “student like to learn” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “those student may have some difficulties like they dont have” has problems with number and clause construction. The opening sentence also contains several clauses joined without clear punctuation. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses, checking agreement, articles, verb forms and punctuation.
