Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's rapidly changing world there are various masses who believe that students are prefering self- study rather then joining a course to learn english. while other agrue that without assistance of mantore it would be difficult to understanding subject. I have a partial view regarding this both approches have its own advantages regarding this will be discuss in following passage.
First and formost, having a good teacher is a blessing because he/she will help to understand difficult topics in a effective and efficient manner. Moreover, a mantor will not only help with study they will also help to gain other relevent information which would be useful in individuals life. To illustrate. a student have difficulty in understanding tenses by him self but after discussing this problem with teacher this topic become really easy for him and it improved his vocabulary and prononsiation.
On the other hand, self study is also important because it provides a chance for self improvemnt by under standing own mistakes and correcting them. Futher more, it also help to remamber the topic for much longer time and also improve understanding and self awarness to know own weaknesses. For example, a student prepraing for english exam by them self with out going to any institute and practicing weak areas to improve grades.
To conclude, for a study both self study and assistance of teacher are equally impotante because this will help to get batter understanding of the courses and also help to improve scoor and achive their deam marks

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the issue and give a clear, balanced position: teachers can explain difficult material, while independent study helps learners identify and correct weaknesses. The examples about learning tenses and preparing for an English exam are relevant and help illustrate these points. This fits the task well, although the position is described as “partial” rather than explained precisely, and some ideas are asserted more than developed. For instance, you say self-study helps students remember topics longer, but do not explain why or give a specific example of this benefit. To strengthen the response, state exactly when or why you agree that studying without a teacher is difficult, then extend each main point with a clearer explanation or more specific supporting detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for teacher support and self-study, and a conclusion. “First and foremost” and “On the other hand” make the shift between the two perspectives easy to follow, and the examples are placed with the relevant points. This gives the essay a coherent progression. To make the organisation more effective, use linking expressions less mechanically and ensure each sentence develops the paragraph’s central idea. The opening sentence is difficult to follow because several ideas are joined together, while “To illustrate” is separated from the example that follows. The conclusion also repeats the two benefits without clearly restating the precise extent of your agreement. Clearer sentence boundaries and more explicit links between claims and explanations would improve cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “assistance,” “self-improvement,” “weaknesses,” and “understanding,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision, such as “mantore,” “relevent information,” “self awarness,” and “achive their deam marks.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “various masses” and “a student have difficulty.” Aim to learn accurate word partnerships and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise expressions for learning outcomes and teacher support would help you communicate your ideas more naturally and flexibly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a contrast between teacher-led learning and self-study, and most of the main ideas remain understandable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. Examples include “students are prefering,” “a student have difficulty,” and “this topic become really easy”; these should use appropriate verb forms and agreement. The opening also runs several clauses together, and “To illustrate.” is incorrectly punctuated as a complete sentence. Practise building accurate sentences with one clear main clause and then adding a subordinate clause where useful. Check subject–verb agreement and tense in each sentence, and use full stops and commas to separate complete ideas.
