In 2009/10 burglary was expeted to be just above 15% but crime commited at the ratio of just 3% while car crime were expected to be 21% as compared to the actual crime rate of 4%. Voilent cries were suppose to happen at 15% but actually happened at 3%.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have successfully identified the main features of the graph and made relevant comparisons between the perceived and actual crime rates. You covered all three crime types and both time periods. However, the report lacks a clear, analytical overview that synthesizes the data effectively. While you mention that perception is higher than reality, you could improve by highlighting the most significant trends or the most striking gaps between the two sets of data. The data points are generally accurate, but the overall summary could be more concise and professional in tone to better meet the requirements of an Academic Task 1 response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Overall', 'In 2009/10', and 'In 2010/11', to structure the report. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is unclear or repetitive. For example, the transition between the overview and the body paragraphs could be smoother. Additionally, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat limited, and the paragraphing could be more effectively utilized to group the data comparisons more logically rather than just listing them by year.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but there are several spelling errors and word-choice inaccuracies that detract from the quality of the writing. Examples include 'pecentage', 'commitance', 'preception', 'thevoilent', 'voilent', 'cosidered', and 'actuak'. These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable. To reach a higher band, you should aim for more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'discrepancy', 'overestimated', or 'proportionate'. While you attempt to use a range of words, the persistent spelling issues and incorrect collocations limit your score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'car crimes has', 'burglary were'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'crimes which are being predicted', 'crimes cosidered to be less'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently and require the reader to re-read certain parts to understand the intended meaning. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound.
