Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response falls well short of the minimum length requirement, containing only 92 words compared to the required 150 words. This severely limits your ability to fully address all parts of the task. While you manage to introduce the topic and mention a few data points regarding burglary and car crime, the response is incomplete and breaks off mid-sentence at the end. To achieve a higher band, you must write a fully developed response that includes an overview of the main trends and covers all categories in the chart with sufficient supporting data.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the information, using introductory phrasing like 'Overall' and 'Looking first'. However, the overall progression is disrupted by the incomplete nature of the response and abrupt ending. Paragraphing is attempted, but the text is far too short to establish clear logical relationships or effective cohesive devices across a full essay. To improve, you need to structure your ideas into clear, connected paragraphs that guide the reader smoothly from the introduction through the body details to a concluding overview.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate basic vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms such as 'percentages', 'perceived danger', and 'categories'. However, there is a notable lexical error in the first sentence with the misspelling 'illustrateste', and an inappropriate word choice later when you write 'subsequently' instead of 'respectively'. The vocabulary is somewhat repetitive and limited. To lift your lexical score, you should aim to use a wider range of precise paraphrasing language and less common academic collocations to describe statistical trends.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
Your sentences show a mix of simple structures and attempts at complex forms, such as 'perceived danger of car crime was high at around 21%'. However, there are noticeable mechanical errors, such as missing articles ('for year 2009/10' instead of 'for the years'), and some awkward phrasing. Because the text breaks off abruptly, the grammatical range displayed is very limited. To improve this score, focus on eliminating basic errors in prepositions and articles while increasing your control over complex clause structures.
