Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to summarize the data, but it fails to accurately report the main features. The description of the data is often contradictory or confusing. For example, you state that petroleum products were the highest in both years, but then mention gems and jewellery was highest in 2015. Furthermore, the analysis of the percentage changes is unclear, and the distinction between the absolute values and the percentage change is muddled. To improve, ensure you clearly distinguish between the export values and the percentage growth figures. You need to select the most significant trends—such as the highest growth category versus the highest value category—and present them with precision rather than listing data points that conflict with one another.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between the overview and the body paragraphs is disjointed, and the internal structure of the paragraphs is confusing. For instance, the second paragraph attempts to compare years but uses vague phrasing like 'in individual it rose' and 'the three products were rose', which makes the sequence of ideas hard to follow. While you use some cohesive devices like 'in contrast' and 'however', they are often used incorrectly or do not effectively link the ideas. Improving the logical flow requires clearer topic sentences and more precise referencing to the data categories.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic verbs like 'rose' and 'increased'. There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'textiles became the lowest goods than other' and 'in individual it rose'. These errors occasionally make the meaning difficult to grasp. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary to describe trends, such as 'surged', 'plummeted', or 'remained stable', and ensure that you use comparative structures correctly (e.g., 'lower than the others' instead of 'lowest goods than other').

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede clarity. There are persistent issues with verb tense and form, such as 'the three products were rose' (should be 'rose') and 'Petroleum products became highest in both year' (should be 'years'). Additionally, there are errors in sentence structure and article usage. While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and the correct use of comparative and superlative adjectives. Proofreading for simple errors like pluralization and verb forms will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
