Student answer (Band 5.5)
The presented bar chart elicit the informaion on one country exports in distinct categories namely petroleum products, engineered goods, games and jewellery, agricultural products and textiles in 2015 and 2016. However, the table chart correlate the data on parcentage change on each category of export in 2016 compared with 2015.
considering the data of export earnings, in 2015 the proportion of pertoleum products and engineered goods was very high as compare to agricultural products and taxtiles which was least accounted. Moreover, in 2016 only games and jewellery just below the 2015 proportion, and from agricultural products the ration was same for both mentioned years.
Following the data of change in values, all four categories show significant surge in precentage accept games and jewellery was decreased about 5.18%.
Overall, it is evidant from he graph that petroleum products cover majority of share in all categories, while taxtiles had very least amount of proportion in all categories. Although, only games and jewellery was less experienced in last year as compared to privious year.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the task by identifying the main features of the data, such as the dominance of petroleum products and the decline in games and jewellery. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial and lacks precision. For instance, the statement that agricultural products and textiles were 'least accounted' is vague, and the description of the percentage changes lacks specific data points from the table to support the claims. While the main trends are identified, the comparison between the two years could be more detailed to fully satisfy the requirements of a Band 6 or higher. The report covers all parts of the prompt but lacks the depth of analysis required for a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Following the data of change in values' or 'Although, only games and jewellery was less experienced'. These transitions do not always logically connect the ideas. Furthermore, the referencing is occasionally unclear, making the progression of information feel somewhat disjointed. While there is an overall attempt at a logical arrangement, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive nature of some sentence structures limit the coherence of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but contains several spelling errors (e.g., 'informaion', 'parcentage', 'pertoleum', 'taxtiles', 'evidant', 'privious'). These errors are frequent and occasionally distracting. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying on basic descriptors like 'very high' or 'same'. There is an attempt to use topic-specific language, but the lack of precision and the recurring spelling mistakes prevent the response from reaching a higher band. To improve, you should focus on accurate spelling and incorporating more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'experienced a marginal decline'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('the proportion... was', 'games and jewellery just below', 'the ration was same') and awkward phrasing ('the table chart correlate the data'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction indicates a need for more careful proofreading and a stronger grasp of sentence structure. The errors do not completely impede communication, but they are noticeable.
