IELTS Writing Task 1 question
below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The bar chart describes the value of one country's export in multiple different categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of export.
In chart export earing is measure in a billion $. There are 5 different product category like Agricultural, engineered goods and textiles. The highest production is of petroleum products between 2015 and 2016.
There is increase in earing of petroleum products in 2016 by $3 billions. The engineered goods is also rose up to $5 billons. The gems and jewellery is getting decreased from 2015 to 2016 by $2 billions. Agricultural products are partially same through out the years at $40 billions. At last, the textiles is highest in increasing of earnings. In the table of percentage change in values is shown, textiles and engineered goods has most increase in value by 15.24% and 8.5% respectively. The petroleum products is proliferated by 3% and only gems and jewellery is decreasing in value by 5.18%.
