Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have successfully identified the main features of the data, including the highest and lowest categories and the overall trends. You provided a clear overview and supported your points with data from the table. However, there are some inaccuracies in your data reporting. For instance, you stated that petroleum grew to '70(billions)' and agriculture 'massively decreased', whereas the table shows agriculture actually increased by 0.81%. Additionally, your description of the percentage change section contradicts your earlier paragraph. To improve, ensure that your data points are transcribed accurately from the source material and that your summary of trends is consistent throughout the response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response is logically organized into four paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Overall', 'Meanwhile', 'Regarding', and 'Additionally' to link ideas. However, the use of punctuation is sometimes faulty, such as the sentence fragment 'Meanwhile. the textile remained lowest'. Furthermore, the transition between the description of export earnings and the percentage change section is a bit mechanical. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that your punctuation does not disrupt the flow of your sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proportion', 'fluctuation', and 'recorded'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'increased slightest above' and 'faced declined massively'. Some phrasing is also repetitive, and there are minor errors in word formation, such as 'the the exports' and 'all category'. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that your word forms (singular/plural) are consistent with the context of your sentences.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'the the exports in five category' (pluralization error), 'petroleum around 60% in 2015 grew slightly' (missing verb/preposition), and 'Textiles recorded the highest increased' (incorrect word form). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the general meaning, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall accuracy. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound.
