Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response covers the main features of the data, including the overall trends and specific category comparisons. However, there are some inaccuracies in the data reporting. For instance, you mention that the textile sector increased by 15.24%, which is correct, but you state it is the 'least among five' in the introduction, while the table shows it is actually one of the smaller categories but not necessarily the lowest. Additionally, the description of the petroleum products' growth is slightly imprecise. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are accurately transcribed and that the overview clearly highlights the most significant trends without minor factual errors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and body paragraphs. There is a clear progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally repetitive. For example, the transition 'on the other hand' is used, but other linking words are missing or misused. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be improved by using more varied transition signals to connect the data points more fluidly. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall flow feels slightly disjointed due to the limited range of cohesive devices employed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You use terms like 'revenew' (misspelled as 'revenew' throughout) and 'touching the revenew mark'. There is also a reliance on basic descriptors like 'slight increase' and 'dramatically increased'. To improve, you should use a wider range of collocations related to data description, such as 'experienced a marginal rise' or 'witnessed a significant surge'. Spelling errors, particularly with 'revenue', occur consistently, which impacts the overall impression of your lexical control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Petroleum products has', 'Agriculture products also shows') and missing articles ('in interval of two years'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with many sentences starting with lowercase letters and missing commas after introductory phrases. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, specifically subject-verb agreement and proper sentence capitalization.
