below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The table illustrates the percentage change in each category of exports and the value of one country’s exports in various categories in 2016 compared with 2015.

Overall export earnings from petroleum products and engineering goods was slightly higher in year 2016 as compare to 2015 where as slight decline shown in Gems and jewelry products . However earning from agricultural products is increased marginally but textiles products showed substantial growth in 2016 compared to 2015

In year 2015 petroleum & engineered goods increased by 3% and 8.5% respectively. Slight decline of 5.18% visible in gems and jewelry . Though minimal rise of 0.81% was shown in agricultural products but substantial rise in textile of 15.24% noted.

Comparing data of export earning in various product category during 2015 and 2016 in all the five sectors demonstrate that four sectors show growth while there was slight dip in gem and jeweler sector.
