Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to adequately address the task. While it mentions the categories, it does not provide a clear overview or effectively report the main features. The student focuses on subjective interpretations (e.g., 'good quality') rather than objective data analysis. Key figures are missing or misstated, and the comparison between years is confusing. The response lacks a clear structure for reporting data, failing to highlight significant trends or differences in the percentage changes provided in the table. The analysis is superficial and does not meet the requirements for a formal academic report.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The response lacks logical organization and progression. The paragraphing is non-existent or inappropriate, with sentences appearing as a series of disjointed points. Cohesive devices are either missing or used incorrectly, making the text difficult to follow. There is no clear introduction or conclusion, and the transition between categories is abrupt and repetitive. The lack of logical sequencing and the absence of effective paragraphing significantly hinder the reader's ability to follow the information presented.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary is very limited and repetitive. The student relies on basic, informal language such as 'good quality', 'giving benefits', and 'working good', which is inappropriate for an academic task. There is a lack of precision in describing data trends; for instance, the student uses 'going up' repeatedly rather than more accurate terms like 'increased' or 'rose'. The misuse of terminology, such as referring to export values as 'benefits' or 'quality', indicates a lack of control over the required academic register.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There are significant issues with sentence structure, including fragments and run-on sentences (e.g., 'Start now we explain one by one which one better to giving benefits'). Subject-verb agreement is often incorrect, and there is a lack of complex sentence structures. Punctuation is inconsistent, and the misuse of articles and prepositions is pervasive. The errors are frequent and often distort the intended meaning, making the text difficult to read.
