The bar chart and table illustrate earnings from one country's exports across five categories in 2015 and 2016, alongside the percentage changes over the period.
Overall, petroleum products and engineered goods were the highest revenue earners in both years, while textiles saw the most significant relative growth. Conversely, gems and jewellery was the only sector to experience a decline in export value.
Petroleum products remained the dominant export, yielding over $60 billion in 2015 and rising by 3% in 2016. Engineered goods generated slightly under $60 billion in 2015 before rising by 8.5% to surpass $60 billion the following year.
Among the lower-value categories, gems and jewellery revenue stood at approximately $42 billion in 2015, but fell by 5.18% in 2016. Agricultural products remained nearly stable, experiencing a slight increase of 0.81% from around $40 billion. Finally, textiles registered the sharpest growth of 15.24%, rising from roughly $32 billion to over $40 billion in 2016.
