Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the task by describing the data, but it fails to provide a clear overview or accurately report the main features. The information provided is often confusing and difficult to follow, such as the unclear references to 'german goods' and the inconsistent reporting of figures. Key trends, such as the percentage changes, are mentioned but not clearly linked to the categories, making it difficult for the reader to understand the data. The response lacks a logical summary of the main features, which is essential for Task 1.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The response lacks a clear structure. There is no logical progression of ideas, and the paragraphing is ineffective. Cohesive devices are either missing or used incorrectly, such as 'first i say that' and 'Another side', which do not help the flow of the text. The referencing is unclear, and the lack of logical sequencing makes the report difficult to follow. The writing feels disjointed, and the relationship between the sentences is often obscure.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and often inaccurate. There are frequent errors in word choice, such as 'coutryside' instead of 'country's' and 'ratio' used incorrectly to describe export values. The student struggles to use appropriate terminology for describing data, such as 'mild' or 'near fourty ibt ions'. The spelling errors, including 'tha', 'engineerr', and 'whch', are frequent and occasionally impede the reader's ability to understand the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The grammatical control is weak. There are frequent errors in sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and punctuation. Many sentences are fragmented or lack a clear structure, such as 'It is goes that reveals the ratio'. The use of complex structures is attempted but results in significant errors that distort the meaning. Basic grammar, such as capitalization and article usage, is inconsistent throughout the response, making it difficult to read.
