Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all requirements of the task by identifying main features and making relevant comparisons. You successfully highlighted the highest growth (textiles) and the only decline (gems and jewelry). However, the overview is slightly imprecise; for instance, stating petroleum products were the 'prime exported' is grammatically awkward, and the claim that agricultural products remained 'almost same' is a bit vague given the data. To reach a higher band, ensure that the overview clearly synthesizes the most significant trends rather than just listing categories. The data points are generally accurate, and the inclusion of percentage changes adds necessary detail to support your summary.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'At a fleeting glance', and 'Moving further' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or unnatural, such as 'At a fleeting glance', which is not standard academic phrasing. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as 'followed by its competitor that are the engineered goods'. Improving the flow between sentences and using a wider variety of linking words would enhance the overall coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'commodity', 'decline', and 'incline'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'prime exported' instead of 'primary export', 'ratio change' instead of 'percentage change', and 'calibrated into a percentages'. The phrase 'it fallen down' is also grammatically incorrect. While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey the main points, the lack of precision and occasional errors in word formation prevent a higher score. Focusing on collocations and standard academic terminology will help improve this area.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'in both year' (should be 'years'), 'as it fallen down' (should be 'as it fell'), and 'remained almost same' (should be 'remained almost the same'). There are also issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to limit the score. To improve, pay closer attention to verb tenses and ensure that articles and plural forms are used correctly in your final review.
